Thank you thank you thank you! 1.5 mins into this and my problem is solved. I always had my HDMI cable for my Xbox One plugged into port 3 but recently moved it to HDMI 1 because I reconfigured my setup. Moving it back to HDMI 3 completely removed the lag I was experiencing when it was plugged into HDMI 1. I had no idea that even made a difference. I definitely recommend to anyone else to try moving the cable between the HDMI ports to see if one gives a stronger connection than the others before trying anything else.

I was just randomly looking for some input lag solving and then I found this video! It’s true different hdmi inputs has different response times, this is due how they made the motherboard of the tv. Mine LG iOS 5 years old and the 3rd (which has no hdr)hdmi has the best response time. I put game mode and also set the label input to pc. Worth to mention that hdmi1&2 labelled as pc had worst lag than without it.

Just change the HDMI 3 to HDMI 2 on Samsung 4k MU6100 and the difference it's insane on PS3, the input lag almost gone. Never would think to do this. Thanks

Thanks to this video I finally figured out my PS4 delay problem I had my PS4 plugged into my second HDMI and when I plugged it into my first HDMI it stopped the delay.

120/240Hz/600Hzis completely irrelevant for gaming on a TV. These numbers have nothing to do with a native input. a 240Hz TV still can only EVER receive a 60Hz signal. it then approximates 3 more frames based on patterns of colour. on top of that is needs to buffer several frames to make those approximations causing ...server display lag! (you called it video lag, which is fine I guess, though INPUT lag is very different) you also DONT want any motion blur reduction etc, these are processes that add display lag. this is why your TV has a game mode and why in that mode these features are always disabled. that "connector" is a balun which balances RF so high frequency transmissions along the cable don't cause RF feedback." HDMI 1" cant hurt, but unless it's labelled [game] or [ARC] it makes no difference. HDMI it's self is major offender. composite (RGB) is lag free - if you want to play something like Rocksmith, you pretty much need RGB composite. but being analogue, the picture quality is reduced.

My girlfriend just moved in and brought her xbone with a Panasonic hdmi TV with a wired 0.5 sec lag on all movent. I just checked the hdmi slot and it was in hdmi 4, plugged into slot 1 all lag gone. Thanks dude

I was going crazy with my 55 inch lg 120htz tv that i was using for a monitor for gaming I had an older lg hdtv I been using before and it was perfect but when i switched I had terrible imput lag and couldnt get the refresh rate to go past 60 I tried the dvI d to hdmi I tried overclocking etc etc n nothing when i simply switched my picture mode to "game" bam imput lag gone!! and I no longer care what my refresh rate reads cus now the lag is all gone and it runs smooth and flawless no lag or tearing or delayed time response when gaming!! I LOVE YOU!!!

0:40 those "little connectors" are called Ferrites. They are commonly seen as a lump or block of some kind in a computer cable and numerous other places, they basically help to prevent high frequency electrical noise (radio frequency interference) from exiting or entering the equipment. If anyone has a problem with input lag and dont have a game mode like I did, Go to menu on tv remote, Settings > General and turn on the game mode. Hope this helped a ton :D

Actually anyone having the same issue and if they still aren't able to fix it! One day I was overclocking my processor. For overclocking I also had to increase the voltage supply to the motherboard (just a basic thumb rule). And that managed to remove the lag in Xbox One Controller, I was facing in any game, now my controller works just fine! Though, I'm not able to find any direct relation between these two things, but as long as it works for me! I thought I should share it!

My TV is weird, I may need additional information. Using a Smart TV and the settings aren't really as comprehensive as the TV you showed.

Video lag is your pc/console dropping frames because its not powerful enough to run the game at the specified settings. Input lag is the latency you get from pressing a button to the action of that button being displayed on screen. Theyre not the same.

I've got a 55 inch RCA and no "GAME" option to switch to. I use ir for pc, xbox, and ps4, it's 60hz and am wondering what to do to get less input lag especially for pc fps games.

Play with a USB cable connected from Xbox to controller as Bluetooth requires a signal to be sent back and forth and to be recognised by the Xbox

Refresh rate by hdmi goes no more than 60hz... If you want more you need DisplayPort and thats just common in gsync or freesync monitors...
