Nice inspo. If you can’t buy decorations this year, bring some greens into your home, wherever it might be. You can also string up old Christmas cards for color.

Wish I wasn’t allergic to live trees 🌲. So we do the fake ones and just use one smelly inserts. This way the real tree stuff that are given off don’t set off our allergies 😢. Tried a real one, one year it was a disaster and my toe was infected by a pine needle. 😢

Do you have any suggestions for when your color pallet in your living room is very not Christmassy to begin with, but you want it to be? I have a lime green rocking chair (so not very easy to switch out) and a lot of yellow. I love it in the spring and summer, but it's not cozy enough in the fall and winter. I know people have all sorts of weird color combos for Christmas, like I've seen pink Christmases and frosty blue Christmas etc... but I like the classic red and green. Any tips?

You might try pulling some colors from your room and putting them up on the tree. Maybe in the form of yellow bows, or homemade ornaments featuring yellow cloth or ribbon (Not enough to overpower the tree, but just enough to tie it in). Depending on how dark the chair is, putting green directly on the tree might be tricky. But you can place a few presents under the tree wrapped with a paper or ribbon to make the chair stand out a bit less. Solid-color throws can be a bit polarizing to the eye, but a plaid throw featuring some soft, Winter colors may also help take the edge off the lime green. Likewise, putting balsam garland on banisters and a centrally located centerpiece will help pull the bold reds and greens from the tree to the rest of the space. Christmas cactuses and mistletoe can also help pull those Christmas colors in. Hope this helps! ^bs

My husband wants to do a traditional red and green Christmas this year. I better not show him this video, he’d LOVE it. We’d have to store all of my winter wonderland, white, snowy themed decor and go traditional 😂😂😂
