I think it would be easier to use the preposition "of" as a translation for "de" in all the examples except for time.

i’m confused why de can be used as “the” in certain situations? for example: disfruta de las flores! instead of disfruta las flores?

Sometimes I see DE between a noun and the adjective that describes it, but then at other times I don’t. So confused. Like I will see camisa azul instead of camisa de azul.
