I remember going to Ayers Rock and the Olgas 40 years ago, magnificent, nothing but dirt roads in those days and you didn't get robbed by inflated prices either. You could still climb the rock too which was hard work. I long for the old days well before the latte sipping PC crowd ruined the world.

Thanks for your videos, I always enjoy them. Our travel is diferent to yours however, I like to be fed & cleaned up before dark giving lots of R& R time. We climbed Ularu in 1988, it took me 3 hours to get the women up & back, both afraid of heights then 20 minutes for me to run up & back. Then helped a woman down from Chicken Rock- she was petrified with fear. Watched the sun rise & set over Ularu then set over the Olgas while we were there. We went in an HJ47 Troopy, slept on the roof & sat up there with a card table, directors chairs & nibblies. A young, Asian couple liked the idea & climbed onto the roof of their hire car. When we were going to watch the sun set over Ularu, we were approached by an Aboriginal man from an HQ Wagon asking me for "pussum" it turned out he wanted me to push the wagon with my Cruiser. I did so & he tried to start the wagon. After a while he singalled me to stop, which I did. Some of the passengers climbed out & walked off with a jerry can for fuel. At that time the locals only spoke their own language & would not speak with Gubbas.

This has been an outstanding series, Ronny. Beautiful drone footage crowned it all, and the interplay between the characters added warmth too. We have nothing like that here in the UK so, for me, it's been educational as well as entertaining. Ayers Rock looked incredible - what a shame that you didn't send the drone up there but I can understand the sensitivities. The bonus episode should be worth a look too. Thanks again, Ronny. 👍

I had a collapsed front outer front wheel bearing on my 80 series near Porcupine gorge QLD in July and it wrecked the bearing carrier/spindle, had to drive it to Richmond to get spares. The next time I go bush I'll be taking a spare one. Great trip, love your stuff.
