Maybe you can film household items, like toothbrushes, fans, blenders, etc, up to 40,000 fps. I know some of them will be kind of boring at 40,000 FPS, but I think it would be cool.

Put the light bulb on a solid metal plate and hit it with a hammer. You'll find it brakes at the bottom first.

The slow-mo at 4:26 is the best at 5000 FPS, great blue flash when the filament oxidizes.

@@LukeSlowMo Yes, I know that frustration too, you do a test and don't record it and then are unable to replicate the experiment.

The shot at 4:30 was so cool where you can seen the light flash a blueish color. Awesome!

Instead of smashing the bulb against a surface, allow it to throughly heat up then drop cold water on it. Your failures are every bit as informational as your successes so keep up the good work.

I already have this version safed on my PC :) But the picture quality of all the other frame rates is so bad :( I can try to film something with the 100.000 fps version, update to the other version and shoot with the other frame rates... But that would take at least half an hour to change the version ... Or... I just buy another Chronos :D

when I was buying the camera I was really hype about 20k fps, so having 40k it's pretty awesome, not that awesome as 100k, but still pretty awesome :D Btw do you have any problems running newest update? I know Chronos guys don't recommend to use newest updates because of possible bugs, but are they really appears? How reliability is camera on newest update?

Oh me too! 20.000 fps was so awesome and now it's just somewhere in the middle! :D So far I haven't had any problems with the newest update. I used the voyager version - not the "unstable" marked updates. Only thing that I recognised where some strange maze like artifacts (as you can see in the 20.000 fps footage). Last time I thought it was because of the 100.000 fps but without them, they still appear at some frame rates :(

How are you getting sound?

Hello and thanks for the good question! In fact it's physically impossible to record the sound in slow motion. All you here is fake :) I search through sound libraries or record sounds myself and edit them (Pitch and slow them down a bit) to fit the video :) Most of the glass cracking sounds are cracking eggs or breaking spaghetti:'D
