Nah, families like that down in the Deep South don’t turn loose of stuff. It’s obvious the family doesn’t need the money and it’s worth far more than one mil just to let it set there and keep the family name on it. Richard is extremely lucky he go what he got cause the old blood southern families are extremely difficult to negotiate with and they do not like getting rid of things! If that building ever does get sold, my money says it will be to Someone local that the family knows and has done business with for the past 75 years. Hell, I can see them even donating it to someone local and getting nothing for it long before they sell it to a business man from halfway across the country who is going to flip it to someone else as fast as he can!! Nothing wrong with that but these old southern families are not into that game tho and they don’t care about the money part of it cause they simply already have tons of it from working their tails off over the years. They are on a much slower pace In Montgomery than they are In Dallas, it’s a completely different world and function completely different even both are considered Deep South. Dallas has changed so much over the years with the influx of industry and business that it doesn’t fit into that southern mold anymore and it will cause him to not be able to buy it all like he would like too but who knows what will happen.
