Honestly the price of the last gym seems sensible considering how many people you go through with a masters degree(minimum) and licenses. True that. I mean in Australia a lot of gym trainers charge 60-80 dollars for 30-45 mins session. You do that twice a week and you're looking at 120+ dollars which is way more than 10,000 a year. For what you get in the 10000/yr gym membership is like a gym that cares whether you do well or not and with all the people you see before you start training you probably wouldn't need a PT afterwards. So in essence you're actually saving money and getting more for your membership rather than some dude standing around you counting reps on some random program he just made up. If that gym was in Australia I'd join up.

so, 40$ gym, pretty neat, nice installations, you have everything you need and more actually, pretty good deal. The next one is basically a social club to hang out more than exercising honestly. The 10,000$ gym, man, with all the medical guidance it feels like you're choosing a lifestyle instead of a gym, they will monitor everything and show you, how much time would you spend there? Seriously. I mean it's really good for people that really want to improve, but for 40$ a month, and you can feel even better because you're actually being more eco friendly, I would choose that gym anytime.

If could afford it, the last one would be the most worth it. They train with science, and analyze your techniques. A normal gym the trainers rarely know what they're doing, and don't do what is best for their client. The price for that gym is crazy, but if I could afford it I'd love it.

Im just trying to say that comparing a monthly price to a yearly price isnt a fair comparison, and there is no context of price in the title. And 480$ vs 10,000$ already sounds way more boring. If both were monthly that would be even less interesting: 40$ vs 840$ looking at it that way the difference is only 800$ and either way thats only a 6x increase, where some other worth it videos get up to a 5000x increase, so basically I dont have anything better to do and this is a way of misleading people to get more clicks (AKA clickbait).

Not really, we can assume that all the gyms have all the those basic equipments. The idea is to show the extra, why does one gym truly cost $40 to $140 to $10,000 (yearly). The $40 gym is you're typical high traffic gym and gives you the basics at good quality ( which I prefer) The $140 dollar gym, gives you an experience other than coming to the gym to workout and leave. You can spend the entire day there, like a social club. - in the grand scheme of things $140 isn't unbelievably expensive, it's a personal choice. You'd pay the same--ish for an LA Fitness or Equinox The $10,000 per year club - is built for serious Athletes and people looking for a regimented lifestyle. No need to go here unless you're a D1 athlete looking to go pro, a professional Athlete in the off-season or tech CEO millionare with hardcore lifestyle. The benefit here is all that all the extra work, nutrition, training, medical are done for you. Just show up we will mold you

GENERAL WIPE dude thats the NFL! Not a gym where ANYONE can go, the smith machine is something where my grandma could get tested properly. And What is flase about it? Were they doing the NFL combine? Is just an assesment, I think that the way they chose to do it is comprenhensive enough for the average person. And I dont bench that much, but neither can most coaches in the NFL or anywhere else. anyway, I do think that someone that can bench that is prob a powerlifter or highlevel athlete (0.1%), definetly not the norm, you should be more open minded, I dont see anything wrong with that particular assesment, it is a legit baseline and a coach can get a lot of information for the programing to go. Specially since they tested mobility and stability separately.
@generalwipe3955
@generalwipe3955 5 жыл бұрын
Julio Cesar Violo look man bench press is a much harder movement then smith machine, this is due to the required balancing of the free weights, which is why its the most optimal way to go also anyone can bench 315 if you follow a well designed program and eat right it'll come in no time
@julio1148
@julio1148 5 жыл бұрын
GENERAL WIPE I know that bench press is harder... you have to stabilize the weight, that is why I’m saying that testing mobility and stability separately and smith machine bench press for the average person is fair. Harder is not always better for an assessment because sometimes you want to eliminate variables. Smith machine is as raw as a horizontal push can get, the programing actually sees the strength. And they see the limitations in multiple planes of stability in their other tests. And on the personal side, I care about my ratio of the main lifts, where my lowest priority is the bench press, I care about vertical push more because it transfers better in my sport. That being said I do know a little sport science, I do watch my ratio of bodyweight and supertotal, I am intermediate AF, but I am not in plateu so I’ll get where I want to following MRV principles in my mesocycles 🤷🏻‍♂️

Buzzfeed...the type of people who juxtapose monthly costs and yearly costs in the title to make it look like a way bigger difference... But, tbh...I'd never pay $800 a month for a gym. Even if I could afford it. Why? WHY?

Sounds like you get a lot of personalized attention and personal training. That costs money at every gym. I do do not like that they compared monthly fee and annual fee. That got a downvote.

While that's all well and good I don't think it's worth the $800 a month or whatever it is. Maybe $800 for the initial consultation and your 12 week plan and all the analysis etc. But then maybe $100-200 for a few months until you need to do another assessment.

The last gym seems more like a place a professional athlete should go to train, 800 something per month is a lot even in an expensive place like new york city. That LAAC though....omg. If you like swanky places, 144 per month is nothing for a place that beautiful and refined, they weren't joking when they said it's like they discovered a secret society. You'd expect the kingsmen to pop out from behind a corner at any moment.

Kokolin Just saying you might be able to become pretty strong through push ups, pull ups, etc., but to gain mass you need to be adding weight onto yourself and progressively increasing it. You can't gain sufficient mass off of just your own body weight
