The indoor design and amenities are truly awesome! But, I’m not sure if it has any great views from any of the windows Also, I’m not sure if actually has any garage For the price tag I’d expect both even in Mayfair! And privacy might be an issue due to its low profile

Sour grapes since I live in a little flat in Manchester with my regular job, but I can't imagine the headaches that maintenance of a place like this would present. Do you need to hire a company to handle the maintenance? The lift breaks down with you in it. Who's there to help? The pool won't heat. How long before a guy can fix it? I can't imagine having the kind of money to buy a place like this, but also I can't imagine it being a home. Somebody is compensating by living in a place like this.

Welcome to London insanity. In the U.K. property bubbles begin and end there. When London catches a cold we all see it and feel it. Investors in Buy To Let in London drive prices to such high levels that new BTL entrants ripple up the country spreading price increases as far as Leeds and Manchester. We even have a totally separate property system in Scotland where bids are entered, legally binding, with the highest winning. In some ways that system subdues the market up there. In some parts of the U.K. houses sold for £1! A couple of years ago a £100M property in London that just sat there for years sold for £60M. The top end buyers were deserting the market. Chinese money drove our London boom. As he mentions towards the end the market has been quiet. The risk in London is colossal unless you're buying well into unique properties, much as anywhere else. We're highly likely to suffer a large market price correction. The Chancellor suggested a no deal Brexit could wipe 40% off of house prices. Fear mongering, or not, we have a history of property bubbles. Buy in a slump and you can't lose. Buy high and it's like rolling the dice at a casino. We've controlled second homes with a punitive tax above stamp duty. It's calmed the BTL market as they pay it too. But in crazy London we do have leasehold properties that can never be owned yet sell for millions for short term leases. The Duke of Westminster has family wealth concentrated in London, centrally. Nothing is sold. It's all leased. The origin, perhaps, of the passive income from property. Russians have bought, modernised for vast sums, built onto these homes, but will never actually own them. We must be unique in that aspect.
