Welcome to day 20 of the 30 Day Improvers Yoga Challenge. Today's 40 min yoga flow includes a recap of the peak poses and sequences from the last week of the yoga challenge.
In today's class we will revisit Flamingo, Splits and Camel pose, along with the sequences that we have been practicing. This is an opportunity to go over what we have covered, familiarise yourself with the poses and hopefully surprise yourself with what you are capable of.
I hope you enjoy day 20 of the challenge.

I have put you into a playlist and I play it if I have to leave my dog at home alone for an hour or two. She is always fast asleep on the yoga mat when I get home. Thanks for keeping her company.

This was a challenging practice no doubt, but the extended Savassana session towards the end eased all the built-up pressure. For this has been so far an extremely rewarding challenging classes. Thank you dear, Charlie🙏🙏❤️🧘‍♂️

I wake up everyday and open my mat to do the practice. Somedays like today is the practice very challenging and i am not able to keep up with you but I am proud of myself trying that. Thank you Charlie for your time and help. See you tomorrow ❤❤

Dear Charlie, thanks to your yoga challenge I finally can do headstand without the wall behind me as a safety net 😊 and I'm constantly learning something new about myself and above all I'm learning to be patient with myself 🙏 thank you for all your effort you put into your classes

I loved the sound of the wind, really relaxing. Flamingo is coming along better, I still can't bind the hands but they are much closer and I felt steadier. The same with headstands, I can tell I'm stronger. Thank you Charlie. Day 20 in!

I saw a lot more improvement in myself in this practice than I’ve felt all week. I’m still struggling with with outside forces from reaching what I am usually capable of, but I have finally felt more encouraged after a very emotional week of discouraged practice. I could stand up in flamingo! Using a block made it soooo much more accessible, though my knee slides out from elbow pretty quickly on the right. I am working on splits in headstand and I’m struggling to switch sides. Even if I come down before trying the other side, I have had very close calls to falling in a bad way. I’m a little spooked, but I will keep trying. Thank you for setting aside time to work on that so often this week. Charlie, I’m so happy to have found your channel, you are a godsend💚

Hey please be careful, I know how those falls can be. The important thing is to feel in control and be aware of your surroundings if you do fall. Thank you for sharing your experience, it made me really happy to read about your experience through the challenge.

A great class that included bits of the mandala flow from yesterday that opened the hips, allowed for practice of standing splits, front splits, flamingo (I took bird of paradise) pose, camel pose and forearm stand. I’m so pleased about how stable I feel in very slightly pushing up into it with the right leg extending up. Left leg has less flexibility so the hop was a bit bigger but I feel the stacking and alignment. It’s been a long time coming for this pose.

I have been working on my approach to doing challenging poses.its ok to do the modified! I’m too hard on myself- I don’t accept my own oops that’s wrong. Until recently,I would immediately start flashbacks of past attempts - falling or not getting it. And now I keep my mind clear. LI’ll say Standing splits. I can split and stand and stand and split, until my leg is up there. Or sugar cane- It’s…music🎵🎶🎤Sugar. Dun dun duh dah dun dun oooh honey honey. The. I breathe and focus in the pose. It works for me! I had a really tough time with the poses like half moon, sugar cane, dancer. The one legged standing. I had to learn my center of gravity. This has helped improve so much so far Thank you for this series dedicated to improving ourselves. It’s nice to have the intent to improve our poses and practice everyday And it’s sooooo challenging! I’m so happy! If I’m not going uuuaawwhhhhhhhrrrrrr while I’m doing yoga poses then I’m not happy

Today was able to lift one leg in flamingo! The pre camel flow from side to side was very helpful, was my most successful camel yet ❤ Thank you, great class!!

Lovely recap with a couple of new goodies for me: first time doing extended puppy pose, such fun! Thrilled that I lifted up to flamingo, bound around one bent leg - clearly it was the long cotton sleeves that prevented me the first time. Still not able to touch the floor in camel back end, but I suspect it’s fear again, as with forearm stand. Wish the meditation was guided by your lovely voice throughout as I can’t do silent meditation, but a wonderful all round balletic class that left me feeling light and ethereal. Thank Charlie😊

Really loved this recap with all the peak poses. I took headstand with splitsy legs and can say that I’m able to switch the leg position without falling out 🥳 Thank you so much for this practice! It really changed my stress level from high to ultra zen 😌❤

Oof this practice sure humbled me, but I can't wait to progress! and it's really cool to see how far I've come with some of these, Got up in flamingo, was capable of doing the puppy pose with straight legs (for like 2 sec but yk) and my downward facing dog and chaturanga are getting way better! Also feel way calmer and less dissapointed when something feels hard or impossible

Day 20 : ✅ I manage to do the flamingo from the bind position to the stand up position and to do the back bend from camel all through along ! Coming out of the pose is yet to work on ! 😂 Thanks Charlie ! 😊

Thank you so much for all of the effort that you put into this challenge, all of the tips that you put in your shorts also help a ton. You made me do poses that i most likely wouldnt have done if i never have joined this challenge, i never thought that i would be working towards the splits! I also surprised myself with the love i cultivated for arm balances. Truly, this elevated my practice a ton 🩷🩷 God bless you!

I experience pretty much pain in my shoulder before but when I’m consistent in my practice and and if I adapt it to my to pain from 10 to 5,I feel better😊 Sometimes I want to todo more , but that’s restricted me to feel comfortable

Thank u so much for the incredible journey… once this challenge ends I would either do some of ur previous challenges or just redo this one again and see how much my practice has changed… one quick q though, I hv a bad sharp kneecap pain in my back leg in split (only one leg), r there any suggestions? (Apart from visiting a doc 😂)

Hi Charlie Di (Sissy in Hindi) Thank you so much for your videos...i wait desperately for this work out...though due to a holiday trip, I got time for surya namskar only...I am behind your schedule...I came here to ask if I want to lose a few kgs like I am 65 kg and as per my BMI index I want to be 60...I hope this workout won't hinder my goal please answer...i am sure I am not the only one who want's to know this. Love from India...

@@divyanshigaur3828 yes, it will- you do burn a few calories with yoga, and it has a calming effect on the mind and appetite. But you will only lose weight if you are in a calorific deficit, I.e. you eat a little less energy than you use during your day. Slowly is best. Good luck. You don't sound as though you are very overweight, so weight loss should be slow.

Does anyone else have the problem that there is so much weight on the head in supporting headstand/dolphin? I get so dizzy and need to pause..😢 What am I doing wrong?
