The practice of concentration or absorption meditation (Samadhi, Samatha Bhavana) in combination with the development of Insight Wisdom and discernment (Vipassana Bhavana) is a traditional Buddhist meditation technique to calm the mind in order to gain insight into the suffering, its cause and its end. It strengthens

5 Insight
6 Freedom from suffering
7 Understanding of the three Characteristics (Impermanence, Suffering and Selflessness)
This technique helps particularly well with:
- Impatience
- Anxiety, Nervousness
- Lack of mental strength and focus
- Achieving Inner Peace
The technique is presented the way it is practiced at the Dharana Meditation and Retreat Center in Phuket/Thailand. It's supposed to help you with your practice when you are back home again.
