Hello Mrs Shafak, just let you know I read your book " The Forty Rules of Love" 3 times (In English, Farsi and the Farsi AudioBook) first, I have noticed how similar is my wife to Elly (apart from that I don't cheat on her as I love her so much and I respect all she has done for us) and then I gave your book to her and I saw how she enjoyed every single word of your book. Just to say thank you very much and I hope I can practice more the rules of love, we love you very much. Thanks @ElifShafak

She is so powerful and effective Author especially Concerning the concept of Feminism,Populism,Globalization ,Citizenship, love and the secrets of the man. And woman relationships. Herself she is affected by her life and her childhood and her mom and dad relationship . in addition to the situation of women in Turkey. She wanted to fight. Against women violence unless it finishes and takes her human_being rights. The forty rules of love is such an amazing book which represents all what this gorgeous writer believes and wants to make truth not just in Turkish society but rather all over the world.

The forty rules of love is a good work of Elif shafak but too much exaggeration was made there, specially on the part of Rumi and Shams Tabraiz...

You are an amazing writer and I felt ripples inside after reading your book, forty rules of love. Believe you me, I have a less patience unfortunately however still I read only 15 pages everyday as I didn't want the book to finish. I still have something serious to share only if my words may have an impact over you or even upon any random reader of this msg. Here it goes: When you write a book which revolves and rotates around a very sacred holy saint, you never use words that could sound obscene or distract us from the main person (Shams of Tabriz and Rumi in this case) There was an absolute zero need of writing that Babylus in a single thrust penetrated Desert Rose and kept on pushing in and out even after he came Or There was absolutely absolutely & absolutely no need at all to write that Shams Tabrezi kissed on Kimyas lips and touched her small hard breast. Didn't you feel it was wrong..shit man Why did you write that? Why did you write Kimya felt aroused in between the legs when Shams stood infront of her. Why Elif? Was it your fiction that you wrote so orthodox? Or whatever man.. I wish this was never written All Shams Tabrizi uttered and chanted day-in and day-out was Ya Ali Ya Ali Ya Ali Ya Fathima Ya Fathima Why wasn't this mentioned? This was extremely impt to mention. Nevertheless, may God do justice always.

You can not tell writers what to write in their own books. You can express that you didnt like something, or when you write your own novels, you simply dont include scenes like that. Be respectful of others.
