The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a registered charity aiming to improve the quality of life of people in the "third age of life". The society offers various course and classes for its members, typically retirees, all run and managed by volunteers to keep the membership fees affordable.
Huddersfield District U3A recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, and KLTV went to see what they were all about. Also in attendance were representatives from the charities Age UK and Kirkwood Hospice, as they're partnered with the U3A this year to broaden each others support network.
