We’ve compared coilovers, brakes, wheels, tires, seats, turbo kits! And now we’re adding some mods that aren’t necessarily improving the car’s PERFORMANCE. BUT when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good you drive good. At least that is what we're hoping.
Today we are installing the MOST IMPORTANT part of any build, especially a performance build! We are talking lights, the type that make cars look hard. Hi Car is getting some crazy LED tail lights, some XK Glow RGB LED headlights, and underglow that they can control with their phone.
Low car is getting some certified eBay garbage headlights, tail lights, and some ridiculously cheap underglows. And that’s it!
We’ll see how nicely all of this stuff installs, and how it looks. THEN, we’ll hit the streets and get the publics’ opinion.
Can the cheap stuff flex as hard as the expensive parts?

i think that would be a better fit for money pit. it would be incredibly difficult to find two nearly identical classic muscle cars. hi-low focuses on whether you can modify and upgrade a car while on a budget while the goal of a restoration is to get the car like new

Hey guys, I LOVE the show!! I really really enjoy the family aspect of it all and also I enjoy how happy and playful the competition between the crew is. Also, I would definitely look into adjusting the locks on your lift. You can hear the “clicks” of the lift are out of sync. If, heaven forbid, one side fails it could potentially lead to your car falling off and potentially harming the vehicle or worse, the wonderful cast and crew. Keep up the great work and the hours of endless entertainment!

I'm almost 50 and I've been looking at z's. They all have 5 owners and accidents/salvage titles. It's a shitshow unless you fork over 20 G's or more, even then it's a crapshoot with these 350/370 z's.

@Donut, a pretty solid series would be a Hi-Low Jeep series. They are one of the most heavily modified cars out there and have huge after market support. Some ideas could be axle upgrades, diff upgrades, body armor, soft top hi/low, wheels and tires, brake upgrade / conversion kits... I have even seen people slap turbos on the trusty 4.0L and get "lots" of power. You could shoot some sweet footage going through rock crawling or trail riding and it would be something kind of different. Love your stuff! Keep it up!!

I don't get cars. I've driven nothing but decade old Toytoa Camrys my whole life and I'm more than happy with them. But seeing this channel and these folks explain what they love and build awesome stuff is extremely entertaining.

Why do none of these guys know the steering wheel removal trick? 1. Remove the center nut only most of the way off. 2. Bang around the old wheel with the bottom of your fist to loosen the grip. 3. Rock the steering wheel back and forth until it pops loose. 4. THEN remove the center nut the rest of the way. I’ve seen so many guys bash their face with their steering wheel because they removed the nut entirely.

I think the underglow is better with price but as for the headlights and taillights, i think it depends on what you're looking for, personally low car's lights looked good enough for what I would want them to do

I used a five and below to add lights under my car White 2020 Hyundai ionic Came with blue lights in the day and with all the touch screen buttons inside being blue I got 4 6 foot blue led lights to usb connections Used electric tape, gorilla glue, $1 switches from Lowe’s, a plastic jewelry box, a bunch of old chargers I don’t use and a kitchen knife and I have pretty solid under glow for less than $40 Wires inside are out but it fits how I do things

Exactly. Althou I know it was forbidden with neons, not sure about led. One point for eu tuv was safety with neon lights, other was distraction. If latest is still in place, RIP EU for such mods, unless turning them on only for showcase cars. Although, still worth it. Underground vibes strong here.

@Matt I think the plasti dip makes the low car even worse, that matte light blue looks so cheap, if the paint or wrap was done with more quality stuff I think the low car will look not bad, but the paint ruins everything
