I really appreciate the integrity you bring to the table, I like your opinion roundup at the end of a video, the few bullet points are more impactful than a tier ranking and retain their relevance over time much better. It’s funny you mentioned LGR as an inspiration, no wonder I like your videos, I’ve been subscribed to him for years! Also, as a fan of Internet Historian, I’m sure I can go a month or two or eight without new content and enjoy revisiting your old stuff, it’s just so dang high quality! Thanks for your dedication and congratulations on 4k, may you see 40k by this time next year!
@HobbyClubhouse2 жыл бұрын
The honesty of Clint at LGR has kept me watching for many years. Even for things I don't care much about, it's often enjoyable to watch him have a good time going through it and I'm really glad to have that as a model. Oh, and I love the Internet Historian too -- man, in Internet Historian time, really no wait seems that long in comparison:) So glad to be mentioned in a comment with two great names all at once, awesome

For the new people, welcome to Hobby Clubhouse! Here is a Hobby Clubhouse subscriber's 3 point verdict on the Hobby Clubhouse channel experience. #1 A Diamond in the rough While HCH covers the basics (articulation, build, accessories, etc.) you often glean an extra awesome tidbit that no other reviewer talks the kit. It could be that you learn about how a model kit is built by a hobby manufacturer or the history of a model kit and its iterations. If you stick to with the channel, you're going to learn something hear you won't learn anywhere else. #2 A no-BS reviewer I don't mean he's a rough / gruff / KZfaqr. I mean that HCH treats you with respect by not wasting your time or energy with mumbling, repeating the same thing everyone else says, or with clickbait. There's a cerebral quality to how he goes over the details of a kit in an educational and entertaining way. 3# The Devil Gundam is in the details While every popular KZfaqr typically has a set pattern on how a kit is reviewed, what I've found interesting in HCH's reviews is his analytical approach. A lot of reviewers usually will state why something is good or bad but HCH would go into details like about how a compromise was made in due to the technology at the time which is why this joint acts the way it does. Details like these definitely helps with purchase decisions.

Thanks for the extensive three-point verdict:) Never actually got to see it from the other side. And also thank you for being so active in the comments all the time, my man! Congratz dude! You really deserve it! I thought the hiatus had already happenend without me noticing xD haha good to know im not going crazy. The fact that you dont just chase the views but do your videos how you think they need to be done to turn out the best is clearly paying off :) Also, thanks for the warning concerning that dunbine kit haha. And give hobby an extra pet from me for being such a good boy ^^

Things kept changing that I didn't bother announcing it every time and just kept making videos since it'll annoy everyone by the 4th or 5th time it gets changed again More consumable and flashy videos are a very sensible way to make a channel big, though it's like drinking from a poison well. Once you go down that route, you can never steer the channel back from chasing ever more consumable videos Hobby happens to be right next to me. Big 'ol head scratch given on your behalf

@HobbyClubhouse2 жыл бұрын
The cat-lingo calls Hobby a "silver tabby" only as a fancy way to say "gray" really, though I think actual gray cats are just called gray... Hobby isn't chrome or anything, though that'd be pretty cool And I quite dislike clickbait titles as a viewer even if the video does deliver, so it's good to be in a position to reject those sort of titles!

I really like the style of your channel. It's tailored more towards a genuine builder and not just a snap fitter. Your down to earth style without the cheap excited screaming and top ten lists are appreciated from yours truly. Over the years, I had considered a channel of my own. I barely if never comment on your video's, but i just wanted to say that you've skyrocketed as my favorite gundam model kit youtuber due to how you carefully construct and break down kits and the likes. Though the stickers not being used on model kits was a bit odd for someone like me who is still somewhat new to the hobby, hearing your explanation now makes so much sense snd makes me appreciate it more, and makes me wanna buy an HG i already have to display it without such as it is. I don't wanna make this comment long but i just wanted to say, for about a weekend and some, i mainly binged on your content due to how interesting it was. seeing and hearing the views and opinions of a model kit builder who was there during the time when Gundam model kits weren't so well known outside the region they flourished in, it's so refreshing and interesting too watch, listen to and experience, you're content alone has inspired me to try older kits myself and I hope i can run into an HG Sazabi again as i did have a chance to nab it at one point in my local hobby store. Still, Thank you for that. and for giving me and others new and old to the hobby a wider lens into the hobby of Gunpla! And of course, congrats on 4k!! You deserve it, really, for making such informative and amazing content. I hope the clubhouse grows as time comes!

Man, even though you say you don't comment much, that's a very heartfelt bit of writing, thank you so much! You put it nicely that it's like looking at the hobby with a wider lens, there really is tons to see Glad to have you here on the channel:)

The wrong type of cat mixed with models can be disastrous. I've seen people have to keep everything behind a display to keep the cat from swatting them off or in another case, the cat likes to sleep there and just plops herself right down and let everything spill over. Hobby doesn't seem to catch things for me, but he does bring me toys from time to time Thank you, now back to work:)

🥳 great to hear that you're committed to staying true to your content. that's unfortunate about the looming hiatus, though. did you say kit request? more like a challenge - i'd love to see a review / disassembly (yes, disassembly) of the RG zgok. reason: it's been in my backlog forever, and every time I think of building it, I remember that I want to paint it in unicorn color... which then leaves me to hesitate on the build, because I'll have to sand every friction surface for disassembly / re-assembly.

The game is SD Gundam Rainbow Wars, or SD Gundam: Sangokushi Rainbow Tairiku Senki. Thank you so much for answering my question! Yeah, that is quite the factor, Non-Bandai kits just gets very pricey sometimes. The way Bandai prices their kits (most of the time that is) are quite representative of how much you get outta them, so it's quite the comfortable buy. Though that is mostly just them owning Gundam as a whole so they don't have to deal with extra fees and such. Unfortunately that means things like the Figure-rise line could really cause a war in the pocket, ..well, the wallet, that is. Anyway, here's to a great 2022 for the channel! 🥂
@HobbyClubhouse2 жыл бұрын
If I had a big war chest, I'd review so many Moderoid kits, it'd be insane. I'd probably review those oddball China-made mecha girl kits that are gigantic. Bandai really makes it easy to forget just how good they are at keeping costs low (when they aren't trying to rip you off) Here's to a great 2022, cheers!
@Shnibbledacat2 жыл бұрын
@@HobbyClubhouse I do find the Moderoid Patlabor stuffs to be very enticing, it'd be very interesting to hear your opinion on those Chinese mecha girl kits too! I am most curious about the "feel" of them, whether they're up to standards with kits from the big boys like Bandai and Kotobukiya. But yea, the most impressive thing to me is just how much content they cram into the box Maybe once the channel's grown even more you'll have the means to review those in the future!

I really love how you point out about the kit only straight from the box and no stickers, since I am picking kits to customize and I need a plain kit, almost all of the reviews I see are panel lined and with stickers, so yours is absolutely unique and particular about the pros and cons of the kit, and it is rare for some reviews point it out! I've Been binge watching your content and you mention some videos that no longer seem to be visible/removed for whatever reason like the non-grade Dodai, any chance on those videos to be back?
