Will the light work with out the fan and still turn back and forth like sentry mode?

I bought one after watching this video. Sadly, it won’t charge up? I haven’t been able to use it since it arrived. I I bought a 5v 3a charging block as is suggested. Am I doing something wrong?😢

Charging requires your own charger. Replacing the battery is not recommended because THAT is the most expensive part of the whole thing, probably more $$$ than the whole rest of the unit. I have a similar one and that one too will not charge also. The board burned out and the battery started to resist a charge. I think the battery itself is what burned out the board because i cannot even get the battery to charge on a remote, separate power supply. While these fans are great while they work, they're considered expensive when they crap the bed. ANYTHING with a Lithium battery should make you think twice before buying because when that battery goes, it all turns to trash immediately. BEFORE BUYING, I'd get in touch with the manufacturer and find out the battery and board replacement costs AHEAD of time. Once that warranty is over, it all comes out of YOUR pocket. $130.00 U.S. (Amazon) as of July, 2024. NO WAY(!) would I pay that amount of money for a piece of wind. It's a suckers paradise. For someone to pay this amount of money for a mere fan would label them as a fool. What you're really getting here is a battery with pieces of plastic attached and sold at a high price. If you were smart, you'd buy a separate portable lithium power supply that runs 5 volt, 12 volt and local AC current. Then get yourself a cheap 5 or 12 volt fan to plug in. This way, you have the best of everything, not just a plastic fan with a big battery with limited use for a crazy high price. That one I mentioned earlier? I found it in the garbage. These fans are snake oil for gullible people to lose their money. I guess it's working.
