I'm an italian woman. This show destroys me with every episode. Growing up in Sicily e in poverty, with a dysfunctional family, I know very well all the emotions portrayed in this tv series. Also the relationship between Lila and Lenù is so complex and fucked up, yet so deep and beautiful, that it makes me feel bittersweet. Every character is wonderfully written. And the books are even more emotional. One of the best piece of modern italian literature.

Elena Ferrante rewrote Goethe's Faust and settled it in the neapolitan suburbs, during the economical boom, choosing two female main characters: Lenù as Dr. Faust, Lila as Mephisto. The english word "brilliant" doesn't return the true and deep meaning of the italian word "geniale", that comes from the arab "Jin" and the latin "Genius" (that means "Demon"). Lila is Lenù's tempting demon, she spurs her throughout her life to progress and improve, both socially and emotionally; but just to find out, at the end, that life is only disappointment and sense of emptiness. I think that Richter's melancholic sound caught very well the atmosphere of the whole saga.

One of the best TV series I've seen, so different and moving with a beautiful soundtrack and perfect casting.

I'm still obsessed with this album. It's a masterpiece.

Max Richter's music is a powerful part of the success of this show...the acting, the music, the direction, production...beautiful!

The soundtrack for each season is so good, the music for this series just adds so much atmosphere, beautiful is an understatement. Not to mention the show itself, I don't know how many times I've rewatched all three seasons up until this point! And then I read the books and loved it even more. Such an amazing series, everything from the acting, to the cinematography (especially in season 3), it's not an exaggeration to call it a masterpiece.

The tv series is magnificent. But the music is soul searching, deep and can transport you to a place you have never been before. Thank you Nicholas and thank you Max Richter

Un tripudio di emozioni che ti scardinano lo stomaco,fino ad arrivare alle ossa. Questa musica ti porta altrove,ti fa bene ma ti fa male. Come Elena e Lila e il loro rapporto.

Se il Paradiso risuona di qualcosa, è questa musica. Note così sublimi per una serie di talmente rara bellezza, tirata fuori da una quadrilogia di tale perfezione... che resto completamente senza parole. Elena e Lila mi rimarranno dentro alla testa e al cuore per il resto dei miei giorni, non c'è alcun dubbio.

I encourage all the fans here to visit Napoli one day. It's amazing and will certainly amplify your emotions towards this wonderful TV drama.

It is hard to explain what this show means to someone who grew up poor with a violent background and love for books and school to start with at least. I have loved many shows, but since Sopranos nothing has come close until this show. I have been looking for an interview with the leas actresses but none in english and not even italian with sub, can one say fangirling over the soundtrack and cast? All the way from Sweden.

The TV Series "La mia amica geniale" if dubbed, loses almost 50% of its charm. Stop watching dubbed movies. How can you dubb a dialect ? where is the magic ? Use the original language and get a subtitle !!!
