You need to trim it up a bit. I have the same motor. Running it fully lowered actual makes it not perform as well. Try next time slightly raising it. You’ll feel the boat run smoother and it will feel like there is less drag.

It works fairly well .. when it starts. .Mine died out in the middle of the lake. Luckly there was someone nearby who towed me back to the marina. If the engine supports it, I would recommend buying the smart view from Mercury so you could actually see the engine params yourself.

Hey how is the 2011 ram Hemi doing? I have the same tick you had, it went away during the winter but now that it’s warmer it’s back again, did you check for it now that the weather is warmer? Please let me know if it’s still gone in warm weather

hey man. the ram has been doing ok. tried to listen to her today and i thought i heard something like tapping but it didnt last long enough to tell. think i am just listening to close now haha i just changed my oil 1k ago and so far its been quiet in the warm weather. just about to turn 209k and lately ive been towing a 4500 lb trailer with it :)

I have a 40 HP. 2001 2 cyl. it'll do 37 mph on my 16' WarEagle and 2 guys, 3 batteries. I also have a POWER TRIM, You need a power trim on that motor

Would possibly know the torque needed for the head bolts? Cilinder head

What top speed do you get out of that motor on that boat?

i never did gps the speed but i would bet close to 40 km per hr

@@McGo101 got a used tracker superguide v16 with 40hp efi 4stroke and get max 25 mph. Was trying to find out if that was right or 8f we should be getting faster.. sounds like we are getting about right.

@@JAW_73 yup sounds about right. Might be able to squeeze more out of it with a different prop but I was happy with it as is myself

@@McGo101 trying a stabilizer on the motor to see if that helps with planing and top speed. Thanks for the info

@@JAW_73 Love Tracker but the downside of fully welded hull's is they are double the weight. Around 1300lbs instead of 700lbs riveted hull manufactures. Thats how they get over 30mph
