Thanks for the show gentlemen, love every second. ♥️. The best thing that the chiefs can do to keep the cap under control is to continue drafting and developing and exactly what they have been doing until someone cracks a better code. 😁

Interesting topic idea would be what are the options if they don’t retain Creed and Smith and cut Thuney next off season and have to flip the middle of the offensive line. The argument for this to happen for me would be Thuney is over the hill, Smith is too expensive, and they’ve shown in the past that paying a center isn’t a priority for them.

Creed & Butker should be resigned first. Need to wait to see if who has career year in 24.

Mike Florio will start crying about the Mahomes contract at the end of the 2024 season...😅

Mahomes is making about 53 million per year for this year and the next 3 years. He already has a new 4 year contract inside his 10 year deal.

Butker is a no-brainer resign, same with Jamie Winchester, Noah Gray, and Justin Watson. All those guys will be cheap. Reid, Omenihu and Brown are gone for sure. We have plenty of safeties and Edge rushers so the first two simply arent necessary and Brown will price himself out. My guess is we keep Creed and one of Smith or Bolton, depending on how their contract negotiations play out. I would guess Smith is a bigger priority but Bolton should be easier to sign to a team-friendly deal: he has little bargaining power after Tranquill's contract.

Thuney is gone after this season. Brett Veach only wants a few players on the roster over the age of 30. Mahomes when he turns 30, Kelce, Chris Jones and a couple others.

I don’t think anything about those three contracts. Every season we love to play couch gm, I mean don’t we? It’s fun but we never see it coming with veach. One superbowl you might have seven rookies holding it down in a superbowl the next , it’s some veteran acquisition making just the right play at the right time. Personally, it’s more fun in the offseason now cause I know veach has it all worked out

I'd keep the interior o-line together as long as I could. As for Bolton, dude can't be paid as a 3-down linebacker because he isn't.

Reid, Omenihu, Hollywood, and Joe Thuney are gone. Bolton, Creed, and Smith will resign.

@@estuardodacaret I'm thinking the Chiefs will move on from Joe Thuney freeing up cap space for Trey Smith.

There simply is no way I’d extend Bolton. He’s not a top tier player.

Based on what Tranquill makes, and Bolton’s pass coverage, I would pay Bolton 4 years/40 million. Not over $10 mil./year

@paullohrentz1170 Nick Bolton has been a leader in tackles since he entered the league. He's a guy that's always around the ball. He's definitely in the conversation for top 5 linebacker in the nfl.
@paullohrentz117019 күн бұрын
@@Omar-kt6in he’s good but not elite. He doesn’t have elite lb speed so he can’t run from side to side or cover speedy skill players. He’s more like top 10 and the current pay range is $7-10 million/year. Seth Keysor did a study last year on games Bolton played and games when Bolton sat out due to injury and Drew Tranquill played his position. There was 7 games of each. Seth used the metric of variance of the Chiefs defense of expected yards per play the defense gave up and the result was the defense actually played a little better when Bolton was out injured and Tranquill filled in for him. For every player we overpay, that means others we can’t pay.
