I am hoping fans of the series will have renewed interest in SCTV and will spread the word about this Classic Canadian Comedy Legend.
I have included all 185 episodes of the Syndicated Series of SCTV. Please note that the Syndicated Series has material not available on the current crop of DVDs, and also that the DVDs have material not available in the Syndicated Series. Please note that there is also material not available in either.

Throughout my childhood, Perry Como was on channel 12 five times a week. At that time I found it so boring he just would not retire The Perry Como still alive skit is comedy genius. Still can’t stop laughing about it.

SCTV is funny. Modern SNL isn’t funny. It’s a social lecture. I’m a Liberal. But SNL has gone waaaaaaay liberal . I can’t spend my time being lectured to, I want to laugh .

CCCP-1 was pure genius... as a kid, I thought it was really happening for a minute! Until my dumb kid self realized it was the same cast of actors... hey the makeup was pretty good, can you blame me?

Caesar's nemesis being Bluto in this presentation seemed SCTV's comment on Popeye's rival having been renamed Brutus in the early 1960's syndicated King Features animated cartoons of varying (albeit uniformly poor) quality.

That's wonderfully esoteric and a perfectly SCTV thing to do. I knew about the Brutus/Bluto change as a kid and it confused me, but I never would have made this connection, thanks! 🙂

just for the record, my former neighbor worked for perry como for many years as a domestic in his home on jupiter island and she described him and his wife as the absolutely nicest, finest people she's ever met she also was a crack whore, but that ought not discredit her eyewitness testimony

When I can't think of what to watch I always check out the CCCP1!!!! SCTV I LOVE YOU! BTW, I like the Communist crap TV better than the Capitalist crap TV! Lol, SCTV, one of the few communist comedy acts around. Also, @20:50 that's a Schaefer Beer jingle from capitalist pig New York City. I could drink a 12 pack of that weak tit brew and not get a buzz. Give me some vodka!
