What I find really cool and interesting with 2 2 Winged Dragon of Ra Cards is their Artwork designs how the Original Winged Dragon of Ra looks more Reptilian but the New Winged Dragon of Ra looks more like a Bird which reminds me of how back then when we thought that Dinosaurs were Reptiles but no they're actually Birds

In the anime it was broken. The actually printed version sucks. You need to run Sphere Mode to actually get out the most out of this card in case you don't want it to be a death draw or not draw it at all. Phoenix Mode is even worse...

They should remake the God cards with alternate names like they did exodia and give them their anime effects (except giving obelisk infinity attack thats insane maybe double is fine though) but name them something like The Eternal Sun God Ra, The Eternal War God Obelisk, The Eternal God of the heavens/sky Osiris(Slifer)

They should've at least gave them "Unaffected by other card effects, except for Divine Divine-Beast type monster(s)." to give that retro thing of the God cards can only be beaten by themselves, as they are on another level. And "Cannot be tributed unless it is for a Divine Divine-Beast type monster's summon or effect." to keep those kaijus away xD

Ehm, without the tributes they would still be good though. I mean Slifers destruction effect would be one of the best floodgates in the game if it was on a level 4 or lower monster, and Obelisk has 4k atk. If for example a spell card like "Add 1 divine monster from your deck to your hand. Once this turn, a Divine monster can be normal summoned without tributing monsters" had been release, I will say with 100% certainty that at least a few meta decks would tech it as a small engine.

Nice video dude, in the TCG when they released the legal version of the three egyptian Gods Obelisk was probably the strongest but now Ra gain some support with his Sphere and Phoenix Mod Cards with the ability to summon him with 4000 ATK and DEF without using Ra ability (and with opponent monsters ) and also with card like Phantom of Chaos its quiet easy to summon him ( twice if you just summon him with the Sphere Mod Card).

4:15 I would actually think that slifer/osiris's effect is also offensive based rather than defensive. It annihlates any new monster summoned to the field - or if they survive it's effect (due to having more than 2000 attack) which is an effect which pretty much incapacitates your opponent's options. slifer is aggresive (offensive), obelisk annihilates (ie offensive like you said), and yeah.. Ra is OTK based. However I do concur that maybe in some ways.. slifer can be regarded as defensive due to his fluctuating attack/defense due to his effect. so it's arguable. But I personally lean towards offensive/aggressive because of his instant effect of destroying/reducing any new opponent monster that gets summoned.

Fun Fact: In real life, "The Winged Dragon of Ra" bypasses the effect of "Vengeful Bog Spirit" just like in the Manga & Anime. So in that one case, Ra has "Instant Attack". xD

The english dub created a plot hole with regard to how Ra is meant to be summoned. The viewer clearly heard Dark Marik speaking understandable words, which everyone heard, including Kaiba. Yet, in episodes after that he is still running a translation effort. They made the text a rhyming poem. In the Japanese version, while Marik did recite the hieratic text, it was in the actual language written on the card which the viewer and the characters could not understand.

To be fair, dragons and griffins can have multiple different forms, often taking inspiration from multiple animals and that can be quite different from region to region of the world In essence they can be the same, even if of course we mostly see dragons as big flying reptiles in western countries. For example in Asia a dragon could be a water dragon being only able to swim, and in different countries, a dragon can look like a reptile-bird that flies.

I'm gonna say it: Because of the ridiculous difficulty to summon and the OP current cards, the Egyptian Gods should be immortal and unaffected by all things. Traps, spells, effects, attacks, all things useless (except for Exodia). Because seriously, THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE GODS.

I use Atem's version of the chant, in the English dub because in the Japanese version a transcription of the chant is not possible because he reads the Egyptian text as it's written on the card itself

There are other heiratic cards (sorry for spelling if wrong) that are based on Ra. Funny thing is that one is a 2 tribute monster (forgot level) with 0 attack and defence and no effect based on sphere mode

Yugis defeat of the 3 gods during the anime ceremonial duel was NONSENSE. Ra shouldn’t have been affected by Slifer’s ability plain and simple.

Dont care that they are OP, they should be like in the anime, but that happens alot in card game and other games, you have this insane OP thing, abut you try bring it into the game to actually be layable and then nerf it to shit. How about the fact that the in the anime, it has a different effect. Its anime effect makes the attack of the card the combined total attack points of the 3 monsters you sacrificed to summon it. I wonder why the anime had such a different ability than the real life card.

One issue on how Ra is the strongest, it is truly only really good if you have activated a couple Dian Keto the Cure Master's, or the skull & crossbones ladybug thing, to where you can pour much more LP into it's attack. It sadly doesn't have the effect from the show on the print I have at least to where you can tribute 1 monster to give it that monster's atk and def. But that's just my standing point.

Oh no, Obelisk was shown a few times to have infinite, but Ra always has had a finite atk, but it can destroy an enemies card, regardless of what it is due to it's effect.

You could've mentioned the different effect Ra has in the anime. Also, compared to Slifer and Obelisk in the TCG, Ra's probably the least useful/powerful and the most risky. :)

in anime obelisk atk can rise to infinity, ra sucks your life points to be strong, obelisk seems stronger

How is Ra attack and defense determine? I heard it's the total of the three monsters used to summon him and I heard is the total then cut in half. Which is the correct method?

I think the two incantations are meant to represent the good side and evil side of Ra. As in: *Atem = Good Side of Ra* *Yami Marik = Bad Side of Ra*

maybe cause they had different causes so they had to chant good chant to let the good side of ra get out and bad chant to do otherwise...i dont know...my opinion...i thought of that cause in the anime whey introdused the god cards they said that the cards are alive and have their own will...and stuff

Only problem my opinion ra is the weakest since when you summon him you have to give up all but 100 life points but to activate his affect you need to pay 1000 life points which you probally won't have and then if you do activate the effect then you will have even less life points and you only get to destroy one monster plus he can't be special summoned at all unlike the others who at least stay around for one turn no then obelisk and sliver have powerful effects like slifer making everything week and obelisk being able to destroy all monsters and then slower can also have more attack then ra could even dream by activating infinite cards

Giannis GX 360 Slifer is not,obelisks is base on some long big stones on Egypt.Ra is a Egyptian god name.Osiris is Slifer name in the Japanese and Osiris is a Egyptian god card name.Slifer is the name of a guy in four kids.

Actually ra is the strongest see oblesilk when his power turned infinity it was but then it wasn’t for long it only stayed once and then he was back to normal it’s because his special ability But ra if he takes ur life points then u should use him wisely also when u sacrifice all the gods u get the creator of light of u look at her suit it’s like winged dragon of ra and also he can take the power of other monsters because Marik did that
