Without trying the place in LA you can't really say this is true. There are plenty of Cubans spread out across the country. It would just take one to be better. (This is ignoring the fact that there are MANY great chefs that make food from regions they aren't from).

I used to go to the $1.50 pizza stand in midtown when he first opened. It was on $1 back then, lol. It is really good pizza and an amazing price. He drove a larger pizza place that had much larger storefront that was right up the block out of business. I always thought of NYC as the place where people from all over the world got together and said, "Guess what we figured out you can eat?" Junior's cheesecake is truly a little slice of heaven and a traditional choice amidst many trendier entries.

If you want to try a delicious sandwich, give the "Horseshoe" a try. It's a local dish here in central Illinois. You take Texas toast or burger bun, slap a burger patty (there are others you can make too) throw some fries (chips) then cover the whole thing in melted cheese sauce. I highly recommend trying it, may be a good topic for the "Try channel".

I knew this list was nonsense when it got to Skyline Chili. Skyline isn’t even remotely the best Cincy style chili in the city of Cincinnati. It’s fine, but there are at least 4-5 places making it way better just in Cincinnati and probably others throughout the area. I guess they felt they had to randomly pick some non NYC stuff. I understand NYC and LA are big foodie cities, but I think Chicago, Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Miami and plenty of other cities have food just as good. NYC people need to actually get out more.
