Efi systems are extremely nice though. They can run like a freshly tuned carb all the time. Efi systems are awesome. They can make vehicles more enjoyable especially in areas where the weather is changing a lot.

The same engine could've fired up and ran for 3 minutes on the fuel he poured down the venturies to prime it, with fuel Injection. FI is extremely reliable and comprehensive these days......

The 3.6L Pentastar V6 in my Jeep makes 295 HP... I had a 88 IROC Camaro with a 5.7L V8 that only made 220 HP... so yes new cars are way more powerful, way faster, and way more reliable. I'll take Direct fuel injection over Carburetion any day of the week... IMHO

@@diecastcrush1257 fr. I have 76 f150 and a 2011 6.7 powerstroke. The 76 has a 390 and is cammed up. Rumbles and moves, but damn. My 6.7 (deleted with a 200hp tune) will smoke the oldie any day of the week. These old engines do sound great tho

@@diecastcrush1257 The newer cars won't last nearly as long as these older cars will. With all that cheap plastic and styrofoam. Newer cars may be more powerful but they don't stand a chance in exhaust sound or style.

@@elonmust7470 the engine which is not even close to factory has almost 13:1 comp out the door and its a big block mopar they hate starting to begin with and you cant dry rev them cold or they cough and die my old 440 h.p. even if it was 50 out took almost a hour to crank while almost draining my 6 pack lol How that engine sounds is healthy high comp causing the thump and cam sounds like a isky cam so the engine based otherwise is healthy diff doesn't need rebuild

@@timallred6789 the compression had nothing to do with the sound of what can is in the motor. If it was a healthy 13:1, the starter would struggle more to spin it over, and when it got going, it would be a lot more rev happy than it is. It sounds like a 360 out of a dump truck how slow it tachs up. LMAO your car takes an hour to start? Jesus.....

Oooofffff uhhhhhhh the Ford 427 SOHC did tangle with the mighty Hemi on a nascar speedway and the 427 cammer by all accounts obliterated the Hemi so badly that nascar banned the engine for being "to european" in its design 🤷, but seriously look into it it's a pretty interesting story and it seems like not many people know about it

My 70 duster is a former drag car and has never been on the street. I bought it decades ago and it is just like new. Still set up for the 426 Hemi as it was raced. Not easy getting to these things when you are working on everything else LOL. But there it is in a beautiful clean garage out of the weather and elements. At least it sets somewhere nice. Perhaps in the next couple of years. And that's why we hold on to them Mopars and I've had a bunch of them.

Building it to run 8.90 But I'm only looking to run 9.90s-10.0 without pushing her to the max, & avoiding all the extra costs of running a real fast car. I have a limited budget for fun.

I primed a crate 350 in my truck a few years back in my garage. tried starting it and it lit off with an explosion. People came from the next block to see if I was OK. I was OK till I crawled back under my truck saw both mufflers ripped open at the seams like beer cans.

nice. what are the specs for the build? the "new metric" hemis may have more factory horsepower, but they don't sound half as good. i doubt this one is factory, but we all love the sound of power. so whats it gettin shoe horned into? i keep wanting to see a big hemi get stuffed into something the size of a first gen dakota. just to make people do a double take.lol. or even better, a k car daytona shelby.lol. that would make people do a double take for sure.
