And that X66 in the background. My dad owned several L, M100 and A100's, and at one time he bought an X66 just like that, with the Leslie. It was huge! My mother turned white when she saw it in our livingroom. Anyway.. excellent groove there mister Monaco, thank you!

I bought one about 16 years ago just because it had a really nice 122 with it. one of the absolute worst organs they ever made, and adjusted for inflation, probably the most expensive. back then, you could have bought 3 B3s new for what an X66 cost. and they sounded horrible - shrill and brittle with a lot of background noise from the early solid state electronics. I actually traded it to a guy for a B3 with another 122!

Ah yes, I'd take a B3 over an X66 any day of the week! Too many bells and whistles for my taste. I guess it is great if one likes theatre organs. The one my father owned broke down many times, although by the time he sold it it was fully working. There were those integrated dipped PCB's for the octave dividers that started giving up one by one after a problem in the power supply. That was fun to repair. Excellent deal on the B3 with 122 I'd say! I live on the third floor of an old house with a very small staircase, so no Hammond at this time. I miss it.

bentenbroek the X66 was a stunning organ to look at (like something from the Jetsons,) and it was a nice playing organ. it was just lacking in the sound department. also, it was huge and heavy as sin. it made moving a B3 seem like an easy task. I've had 2 B3s over the years but only have 2 T500s right now. also have a nord electro which is really nice to practice on (also a lot smaller/lighter!)

Well, first you play some stank, then you take it up so it gets kinda fonky, then you do some squibbly-dibbly doobity bops.

he's playing B flat minor diatonically using triad inversions. which means at 3:05 he's playing Bb left hand, then in right hand plays Db major triad 2nd inversion, Eb major triad 2nd inversion, and then F minor triad 2nd inversion and back down :)
