Hi, I just wanted to say I love the content. I have a question that's probably been answered before but I'm new and in the 20-30 vids I've gone through and watched I haven't seen an answer. How do you insure all these cars and get them registered when they're just flip cars? Do you go through all the title stuff with the DMV or is there some other process? Thanks!

i think you need a harbor freight high frequency charger to properly recover shot batteries which is ever damn car from copart... www.harborfreight.com/2815-amp-automatic-microprocessor-controlled-battery-charger-63299.html and a lithium pack for convenience www.harborfreight.com/lithium-ion-jump-starter-and-power-pack-62749.html obviously wait for coupons or just go to www.hfqpdb.com/ and get the app if inclined. i think there is only an android app... i got these myself and I have two jump packs, one for each car and I have a 300c with the good ol' 5.7 hemi and a 2500 hd megacab also hemi and starts em up like they aren't a real load... I've also started cummins and a 1929 Allis Chalmers tractor and again without a care in the world. I've had a few JNC's and they are fantastic but you could legitimately fit 12 of these in one JNC and it would still be lighter. I digress but I got the jumper packs for $60 I think and the charger for $25. the charger is unique and definitely worth the money.

The reason why the car died is cause with them cars after the battery has been un hooked or died it takes a while for the ecm to relearn the car. Just keep your foot on the throttle when stopping and eventually it will start running fine #autoauctionrebuilds

I just left Copart - Dallas day before yesterday (Tuesday). A guy that got there a few minutes before me bought a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9L (which has 2 large batteries) The batteries were totally shot. I didn't have jumper cables, just a small jumper pack. Another guy had jumper cables, and so we used his car (with cables) and my pack combined, and it was just barely turning the engine over. No start. A few minutes later security comes out with a jumper pack that cannot be carried by hand, but in the back of a van. His several hundred pound jumper pack started up the Cummins without a sweat, but with the engine running, as soon as the jumper was disconnected it died. Had to leave the engine running with the jumper attached for at least 10 min so that the battery would have some charge, otherwise both dead batteries would suck the alternator down to zero. Maybe same issue with Galant? P.S., if anyone's a praying type, pray for that guy with the Dodge please. It was his first time at Copart, bought the truck sight unseen, and was going to drive it back to Florida (from Dallas TX). I just hope he made it fine.

Those Galants are one of the most reliable cars I've ever seen. When I met my wife, she drove one, handed down to her from her brother, who got it from her dad. Then it went back to her dad. 15 years later her cousin is now driving it. The damn thing just won't die, it was handed down 4 times and it just keeps going. Those things are way more reliable than they need to be. This coming from a Toyota technician so I know what reliable looks like.

Those JNC packs are great, we had a bunch of them when I worked at a shitty dealership. We had the thinner blue ones in each of our flatbed tow trucks, and 2 of the big red ones like you have, that we'd use to jump our tow trucks in the winter when the batteries would die. And they were big International cab, Jerdan bed flatbed tow trucks with wheel lifts. The best thing about that JNC brand, as my old boss used to tell me, the 2 year, lifetime warranty. Where every 2 years we would trade in our old ones and get brand new ones

That is the model Galant I was talking about. It has a decent size for a car, enough room for four passengers and it comes equip with four or six cylinders engine. That is the model which resembles the BMW in the front. A use Galant would probably cost over 1, 500 to 2,000 . Depending on the condition if the car and it depends on how much money a person has invested in the car itself.

Yep bet it’s stalling cause of the dead battery I’ve had it happen before. I think alternator sometimes stops charging for a second to check battery voltage or something like that and then it doesn’t have enough voltage to keep everything working. No idea how accurate my idea is but it makes sense to me as the same thing has happened to me with several cars with flat batteries

The radio's serial number is on the left side of the case that is inside the dashboard. You will have to remove the fascia that is around the radio carefully to reveal it. In most models you can use a small dental style mirror to see the code without completely removing the radio. If you can't see it this way you will have to take it all the way out. Don't disconnect anything just pull it out far enough to see the numbers. The model number starts with MNxxxxx, this is not the number you need. The serial will be an 8 digit number, no letters. It will be close to the model number however.

I think it's likely that in OK that everything is far away from everything - a 200 mile road trip probably isn't very uncommon once a week or more - those miles add up. also, depending on when the car was bought (in '99 or in 2000) that only averages to around 15.5k miles a year - still high but not unheard of...

I bought a pile today well kinda I put a starter in a 2002 Chevy Silverado with almost 300,000 miles on it it starts and runs and drives and they didn't have the money to pay me for the starter and my labor so they sold it to me for $200 dollars so it's mine now it's rough but it runs and drive alright hell yeah I love a good ole GM product if you take care of them they'll run for ever.

Pull the head unit out, you'll be surprised how many people write the radio code on the top or bottom of the unit. And those era Mitsubishi's run for ever, they won every reliability survey for 10+ years in the UK.

This is a recurring problem! Might I suggest you buy a few batteries to keep on hand to get these cars home and running till you can get them a new battery! I realize that there are many different sizes of batteries but I'm sure you can find a few that will fit the vast majority of cars. You may not be able to bolt them down but that is what bungy straps are for.

Man those galants always seem to just keep on kicking. I have an ES 2.4 and like that one it definitely wouldn't win a beauty pageant. But it has 246,000 and I've put new tires, oil and a crank sensor in the 5 years I've owned it. I've also hit a deer and it still drives no problem. Parts are cheap and it's easy to work on. One of the most underrated cars I've ever witnessed.

I'd say it's cause that completely shot battery, my mom bought a truck last December that still had the original battery, so a 10 or 11 year old battery, and I wasn't with her but it barely started and ran like crap on her way home from work, replaced the battery and it's just fine
