That’s a cracking mod with the alternator 👍 The original setup was dire, oil filed alternator, just horrid things. Really like the noise the diesel 430 series make when they’re running.

Great video, love seeing the 4 used for the pack lift. Have to say that in hundreds of pack lifts I never took that metal strip out. Guess REME are more skilled on the hiab. 🙂

Glad your back missed the videos. Great motor. Brings back happy days and good memories 👍👍👍👍 when you took the engine out reminded me of servicing a stolly finding loads of spanner’s in the oil pan underneath of the engine when fitters dropped them and could not be hovered to delve into the oil to find them. 😂😂😂

You can use a trolley jack under the front track pads to move the vehicle and the prop shaft.

Who did the prop shaft bolts? That was always the drivers job and I absolutely hated it. Had one 432 in Sarajevo in 94 that I had the pack out 5 times. They refused to replace it. Eventually got a new pack and got 33mph out of it. Sideways at times. 😂
