I think of all the chord progression cycles, this is the most pleasing and hence, most relaxing for me. A similar chord progression appears in The Fellowship of the Ring movie score after the fall of Gandalf, and is present in U2's song "Where The Streets Have No Name." From the comments, listeners find peace and I think the comfort of regular repeating musical structure. It's slowness tends to slow breathing and heart rate in those who focus, just as loud fast music has the opposite effect.
