I love how magnus and Alec had nothing in common. Were again they found happiness in each other. This shows, you don’t need to have something in common with the person you like or love. All you need is to be honest and happy.

They actually are more alike than you may think. They're both leaders. They are both loyal and selfless. They are protective of others, and once you break down their walls, they're loving. They are compassionate and witty. And they are utterly devoted to one another. They are mature and aren't afraid to admit they were wrong. Their relationship on the show eclipsed everyone else's.

They are so deeply in love with each other, yet both underestimated how much they are loved back. They are both insecure in different ways, but still try so hard, carefully protecting and supporting each other's feeling. Magnus lived for centries. He had loved and lost before. He had involved with many, but in the end Alec turn out to be his first ture love. So much so he's willing to give up his magic and marry him. Alec is young. He never really loved romantically before. Magnus is his first and only, but in the end he's so fiercely in love with Magnus, as if they have been together for centries. This couple is powerful, in both strength and emotion.

Wow. I can't believe Magnus and Alec invented healthy relationships! ^^ I was floored by all the clips you put together, you did a beautiful job. The main reason I ship Malec : I love Romeo and Juliet/ West side story/ Jack and Rose types of love. People who come from opposite worlds but see right into each other's souls. Maybe that's just me but it always seems so "pure" and so true. More so than two people coming from the same background and already having the same vision and understanding of the world.
