One thing that all of us unanimously acknowledge, it's not the features of the boat that make us like the boat. It's Nick's presentation of the boat.

I actually own the GT40 which is the predecessor of this model (this is a facelift). The twin beds can be turned into one with an infill. The table of the galley can’t be turned into a bed, but the one outside can be turned into a full solarium. Since this one has the solarium in the stern, they might have gotten rid of the telescopic table. This new version is pretty neat, solves many design flaws that the GT40 had. Great video Nick!

There's more unfinished fiberglass than we're used to seeing on boats that are similarly appointed, but I like that. They spent the money where you want it spent - on the things you can see and the things that make it go and go safely. I imagine that you could do some of your own tinkering and finishing on those long cruises and make it perfection. You know, for the budget minded people buying a half-million dollar boat.

Now THAT is how you do a mid-cabin IMO: use the 'v' of the hull to lower the floor for more headroom and position the berths on either side going aft. I've actually been really curious why I had yet to see that specific layout yet, especially with such cabins that lack any sort of real headroom on similar sized yachts. I have seen creative use of such hull space for more roomy forward VIP or master cabins near the bow, but it was nice to see as much thought put into the guest quarters. Well done, Beneteau!

A cracking little yacht. Very stylish and far more roomy than I was expecting. Always amazes me how they can make so much space in a small boat. I do like the helm being a little more central like this, pity more didn't do this. Oh and great to see you wave, never fails to put a smile on my face. Technically, that second bedroom is full beam, too, right? Windows on both sides. ;) I do like it when they place them down the center instead of sideways.

Great idea with the second cabin seems a much more sensible option than stooping at one end. Also would make it far easier for someone to get out of bed. I imagine the ones where you crawl in are fine for kids but if your a bit older they might be somewhat more difficult to exit when you need to use the heads in the middle of the night. Fair to say the mystery cushion case has been cracked already, so I would just add I think the microwave would go into the right hand cupboard rather than the left one as suggested. There appeared to be a gap in the top of the cupboard for the electric cable 🧐 great video and as ever counting down 48hrs till the next one 👍

I'll bet those cushions, which looked like memory foam, are an infill to make the mid cabin a double bed. Very nice practical UK boat though, I'm quite a fan of the Beneteau powerboats, they seem to be vaguely sensible money for all the boat you need and nothing excessive beyond that. Great tour as ever!

No aircon so those cabins will be hot an stuffy in summer, what I've learned is always buy a boat with two toilets, in case one is defect, and the outside table is just rough and below standard. Apart from all that its a nice boat.

I can’t help but have a little giggle to myself when Nick gives us a cheeky little mirror wave. I do like the central helm position of this boat, it really works. Everything you would need to be comfortable on a reasonably small boat.

I would suggest the extra cushions are infill for the mid cabin, allowing you to have a double instead of two singles.

Thank you Nick, great as always! I’m sure you couldn’t see it but the camera picked up an open slot in the top of the cabinet above the burner. That’s probably where the microwave goes. I would bet the infill cushions were to make that a full-size bed in that second cabin.

I’ve always liked the Beneteaus. But this is clearly not SB3. It doesn’t ignite the passion of a Princess or Sunseeker for Nick. Great everyday boat in many ways.

Hi Nick…… I’ve seen other specs with a high/low telescopic table in the saloon, as a bed….. Also, it looks as though the aft sun pad, apart from having a storage void, slides backwards(?) to allow the engine cover to lift…… or move the sunbathers out of the shadow 🙂 Lovely clean and crisp styled boat….. 🌟

Regarding those extra cushions, the larger thinner one goes over the forward cabin hatch on the sun pad, and the smaller thicker one I think goes on top of the side table between the two bunks to make that in to a seat.

Nice! Only thing I would criticise is the lack of a dedicated shower cubical (which they manage to achieve on the 32' and 36' boat), and also the fore-deck areas don't look as comfortable or inviting as the 32'/36', seems a good price though. Still love the Galeon 400 though.

Nice color combination, squeaky floors - but it is a Beneteau. Love you trying to excuse the squeaky floors, but access panels could have rubber gaskets ( Princess) to avoid the squeaks. I would take the sealine 39 footer over this one. Very nice Mid cabin layout. Even the side and fore decks squeak.

Very nice indeed. Out of my price range. I have nearly bankrupted myself getting a well used princess V42 ( can't do a flybridge, need to get inland a little ) But maybe one day. Onwards and upwards. I was a little underwhelmed by the galley here. Can't afford it so can't complain about it.

Just checked on Beneteau's site. The twin beds are convertible into a double bed, and the dinette optionally converts into a bed.

That seems very reasonably priced, my wife and I plan to retire at 50 ( next year) and this looks an interesting holiday home option, would be great if we could do a 4 way share on it to cover the costs as we would only want to be on it 2-3 months a year.

That "galley" looks like something out of a '70's camping trailer.

love the review as always - interested in knowing if the £440K is as shown or a base price? - Having owned 5 motorhomes I know the difference between base price of £90K and as displayed of £115K is not uncommon

I wish they would take the 32GT idea of squaring off the front and doing the direct access instead of a side deck on a boat this size.

I'm going to say that the new Beneteau GT36 might actually be just as good. It would be a real toss up between the two. The GT36 has its shower separate. I think I prefer the second cabin. The windows throughout... I'd like to see you do a wee tour of that one at some future opportune.
