(441) Indigo and Turquoise Open Cup Pour!! Acrylic Pouring Technique

Күн бұрынIn this video I am using some of my favorite colors of paint; Indigo, turquoise and bright gold all from Jacquard Lumiere paints. I am using these with the open cup pouring technique and will be doing some other techniques with these in the future. I have small areas of negative space and I like the colors against the white background.

Thank you! I mix them like any other paint, pouring medium and just a little water. I find that I don't need much since they are already to fluid.

This is so beautiful! I love those paints. I have the indigo and was wondering what ratio you use to mix them and with what? The bottles are so small, it doesn't seem like it would make very much paint! Are they highly pigmented?

Thank you! I use 1 part paint to about 1 parts medium and then slowly add in water until it is the consistency that I want for pouring.

Amanda, that is rich!! I have a commission for a wooden fiddle in high school colors: navy, white and gold. Question: Did you pour more deep blue into each cup position vs the teal, gold? The ratio of deep blue was higher? Or did the majority of deep blue occur in the strategic stretching? TIA! 🙂

Thank you! Yes, I feel like I poured more of the indigo than the other colors. Just my preference for that color.
