I think no body really messes with Eli because he is such a clean and respectful rider. With the dean wilson situation, dean was putting it to him in that race and then Tomac got tired of it. If you watch it again, looked like tomac wanted to cut Wilson off but Eli ended up hitting a hook or something in the rut which caused to him to fully take Wilson out. Both were riding aggressive that day but Eli came out on top.

After 3 straight wins (which he most likely will win 2023) he is the practical goat behind Ricky.
