Great review. Love that you pointed out the limitations, most people don’t think to mention that.

Thanks, it’s not a bad set but it’s important to have a realistic expectation going into a purchase.

Have had my eye in this from CI but I don’t have much to practice on so I’ve been hanging back. Appreciate the piece by piece walkthrough.

Glad you liked it. Honestly, if you’re new to picking I’d focus on that first and then get the bypass set later so if you run across a situation where the bypass stuff doesn’t work you can still pick the lock.

Thanks for the review, not everyone demonstrates

Thanks, I try to set myself apart a little bit that way. Give an in-depth review and let people see for themselves if they think it’s right for them or not.

😂😅😂love the humour. Always appreciate a good honest review. I've seen an x-ray of Peterson picks and they have next to no tang in the handles 😢. Have a great weekend Jim 👍🤜🤛

Thanks. The bypass driver on the Peterson stops in the same place as their picks. For picks it’s pretty irrelevant, for a bypass driver moving a heavy spring I’d like to have more purchase on the tool.

Yo Georgia Jim! Bro your my new favorite lock picker! You make picking locks look effortless! I'm really green to locksport and just picked my 1st American 1100 around 12 months into this hobby. Keep up the great content! I support your channel 💯!

Glad you like it, keep practicing and enjoy the hobby.

I had already decided to make this set my next purchase and your approval of them makes me far more certain that I won't be wasting my extremely hard-to-come-by money. Didn't have time to chime in on your last 2 vids of Covert's RivPik but Sundays are for binge-watching and I'll catch up. Maybe bypassing isn't everyone's concept of "Locksport" but it has a place as does picking. My own needs are partly business-related where rapid openings have value and can save from potential damages which are necessary to risk and repair when quick opens or entrances don't happen. Part is my life-long interest in locks and picking which was small and seldom revisited until recently but was always there. And part is a current occasional opportunity to work under a licensed locksmith for things his current crew can't, wont, or doesn't do. If I have enough success with that it might grow into a business for me far more suitable to my aged and semi-retired worn out body. So to me bypasses are business and picking is pleasure, and I've got room for both.

Everyone else’s concept of locksport is irrelevant. You don’t need other people’s approval to enjoy your hobbies your own way. Bypass stuff and rapid entry techniques are just as valid as picking and if you’re actually using your skills no one cares how you did it, they just want in the fastest way possible.

I may not be as into bypassing as picking, but I might have to consider this set just to have as an addition to my CI tool collection! Plus, while bypassing takes very little skill, I do think it's valuable for developing a deeper understanding of security awareness--more is learned when it's done rather than seen. That's just me though!

When you know how they work you can spot the weaknesses better and know what to avoid.

Look forward to the sparrows tensioners review. Curious to see what set it was.

I have two sets of Sparrows tensioners to review. Should I combine into one video or a dedicated one for each?
@SukiminYakumo6 ай бұрын
@@georgiajim2260 Tbh, if it's not a ton to say about each set and/or if they're similar, one video is probably enough. If it's two separate sets that are really distinct, then probably needs two videos for visibility I'd imagine.

@@georgiajim2260 I really hope it’s their mad bobs knock offs. I’ve broken 3 sets so far, complete crap steel.
