#45 Purple Dutch pour W/ split base

Hey y'all, I hope that you've enjoyed the video. I'm running behind on the editing. I was tired last night after making the video. I love doing these split base Dutch pours. I'm going to do lots of new base colors. Please tap the notification bell to be notified of my new videos.
recipe
Mix 1 part of the golden heavy gel gloss and 4 parts American flotroel. I mix it with a whisk. It's much faster.
I then weigh in grams
80 grams of the Gel- Flo
27 grams of Amsterdam paints, Golden, Winsor Newton, Atelier, Matisse, and other premium brands. Liquitex, Artist loft and less pigmented paints will require more paint.
32 grams of water
for the base the recipe is different
1 part gel
7 parts flotroel
I melt my pigments in Atelier Binder Medium. Then add the gel-flo mix. I refuse to put water in my pigments. to thin I add more of the Atelier Binder Medium.

Matisse Southern Ocean Blue
Pebeo Irredescents yellow green
Amsterdam permanent red violet
Pebeo Irredescent Precious gold
Winsor Newton Winsor violet
Black Diamond Pigments Athena's Affection
Primary Elements Pigments Snapdragon
TLP Pigments Waterfall
Golden Irredescent Pearl

So beautiful, Ronda! Love that southern blue with deep purple. I'm so happy you sold your hummingbird painting! I'm planning on painting a black billed magpie next. They have the most beautiful feathers... almost a rainbow effect. Now, I need to think about my background colors. Another beautiful piece. Your dutch pours are lovely. I watched your paint mixing video a few days ago and noticed that you've changed the recipe you use for the PM from 1 part medium gel and 3 parts floetrol to 1 part heavy gel and 4 parts floetrol. Is there a different result? I've moved to thicker painted and am curious about the change.

No difference Hun. With the heavy gel it just takes more floetrol and more water.

Thank you so much Hun. I had a big tub of the heavy gel gloss in my supplies. So when I ran out of the regular gel I just decided to use the heavy instead of buying more. Ya, There's no reason that I changed. I love both the regular and the heavy. They're the same product. One just requires thinning more than the orher
