Hi Alex Thank you so much for this clarifications. I worked as a senior Banker for 6 years and recently I just changed my career and found a good opportunity to work in the Risk management field in an Insurance company. I was about to do my MBA but I stepped bk to see how it goes with me here , some friends advised me to Master in Risk management. What do you think ? Regards,

You are better off doing some short courses covering the following competencies riskacademy.blog/what-competencies-should-risk-managers-in-non-financial-companies-really-have/. Most masters programs are RM1

Thank you for these tips Alex; for the non-financial industry in the America continent (north, central and south America) would you recommend RIMS? Can you kindly advice on any others you are aware of? Tks in advance.

@@RISKACADEMY thank you! I have taken the building MC simulations and reading the Failure of Risk Management from his Academy. However, I am in Canada now applying for jobs in RM and almost 99.99% of them are asking for the Canadian Risk Management Certification, which is RM1. I would not be comfortable investing on a certificate that might not help the company to make better informed decisions, though it’s becoming a little difficult… Tks!

@@marcemartinez5240 risk management certificates are rarely about helping companies make better decisions, you are better off doing a decision science or decision quality certificate

Hi Alex. Thanks for the video it's really well structured ! I want to ask please if you think PMI- Risk Management is a helpful training course. I have the PMP and the theoretical knowledge but what i need to learn now is to apply this knowledge as I'm taking a new role in risk management in my company. Thanks
