Fun Fact: if its pre-evolution doesn't participate in the battle that levels it up to 25 it'll skip the evolution animation. If it does participate, it will evolve normally.

Maushold is better in doubles than in singles. One dimensional Pokémon are really embarrassing this generation.

Embracing chaos is probably the way. I like it with pop bomb, crunch, encore to ruin tanks, and then I switch between tidy up and sub. Remembering the day I flinched a solgaleo to death with togegod is enough to reassure me about steel types lol

I can kinda see a maushold in off a driftblim baton pass.... but you would have to play some mind games with evasion, weakness policy, or some kind of speed boost. Seems to risky to me, but completely satisfying if pulled off

I'm curious what your thoughts are on Espartha. I like Speed Boost/Assault Vest with Lumina Crash, Dazzling Gleam, Tera Fighting/Ground Tera Blast (to catch unsuspecting Steel types off guard), and some combination of Shadow Ball/Energy Ball/Flash Cannon. If you see no Dark types on the enemy team, open with Espartha and Lumina Crash to drop their Sp Def 2 stages on top of the damage. They either switch and give you a +1 speed from your ability or stay in and eat another attack at -2 Sp Def. If they don't have a physical attacker to answer you immediately, you literally just run away with the game.

Weight. A family of 3 is lighter than a family of four. Only useful when considering any weight-related moves you might expect from an opponent.

Any particular reason why all these sets won't account for the possibility of giving Maushold +1 accuracy? Orthworm can do Coil for attack, defence, and accuracy. then shed tail or baton pass those stats into maushold. Even 1 accuracy up is enought to take you from 90% chance to hit to over 100% chance to hit. That means you could get all 10 hits every turn, and potencially run King's rock for a total chance to flinch the enemy of 64% chance to flinch every turn. Also, you are doing all 10 hits every time, with technitian, with stab, with potencially tera normal.

I find it both ridiculous and amazing that such a simple, straightforward Pokémon can have such depth and versatility to it. Have to throw out there: the odds of an opponent going Tera Ghost goes up when they see a Maushold on the opposing team to immune the population bomb. I can see crunch being more viable as a 3rd attack, especially if you out-speed after they Tera at the start of the round.
