I trained my guinea pigs to stand in there back legs before they get there vegetables and now whenever I go in my piggies room they all stand up because they want food😂

it's such a smart idea to have the cage on table legs! guinea pigs seem to be easily spooked by things that are high up, so this way you can approach without them thinking you might be a bird of prey lol.

You probably can't imagine how happy I am right now. I have 2 male piggies that don't get along and a cat. I am trying to convince my mom and dad to make a bigger cage for both of them and maybe I can get them to get along when I'd get a female for them. Most people whi have guinea pigs don't have cats. That's why they have cages that are open. I was trying to find a video that I could use to convince my parents. They won't do anything unless I have everything planned out perfectly. Cause they both have work and stuff to do. This is a very good cage for a family who has a cat. 😊So this video is literally my piggies savior. Wish me good luck on convincing them.

Honestly it is difficult but if your dad’s experienced with building you guys should be fine. When me and my dad years ago built our first DIY cage we didn’t even realize how complicated the standards are until we started! For instance we used mesh for the front doors, the mesh went inside but then we had to put some silicone over all the ends. Then you have to paint on the sides of the wood something so the urine doesn’t soak in. A lot of times pieces of poop get stuck in between wood if you’re not careful how you build it. But overall it’s fun!

I actually work for my Dad’s construction company and he said he would help me do something like this! I think I found my dream cage! I just want to add an extra room on the other side on both floors with cage sides so that I can hang hammocks! My girls love them.

This cage is awesome! I have 7 piggies, (2 peruvians , Peppy and cinnamin, an abby furby, 2 American short hair Oreo and Gigi, a white crested, Pua and a skinny pig named Skinny) I think a cage like this would be more convenient to clean and keep them safe since it has a top. I need to make something like this for my herd! Thank you for the inspiration !

Growing up. My sister had Black Pete and I had Miss Porky. They got put and we found them under the Christmas tree in the middle of the night. Shortly afterwards Miss Porky had 3 babies!!! Black Pete jr.(shiny jet black like his pa), Migee(black & white), and Ginger, who was a mix of black, brown, orange, and white, not spotted, her whole entire coat was like a squirrel color of the mixed colors. I heard the weet weeting and saw she was on the 2nd delivery and ran up and down the hallway announcing Miss Porky was having babies !!! My Mom didn't believe me....I had to make her come see them. They are great pets!

Nice housing for the guinea pigs, but I wouldn't let the cat in the room unattended, he could get in via gap above the plexiglass or the opening where the roof is.

Jay’s Vlogs she trusts her cats enough to have them in there. She knows them. Some cats don’t really have the instinct to attack small animals rather birds like my cats.

I live in a house full of useless “hunters”. If dogs and cats can play together, cats and piggies can. My dog was rescued from a dog fighting ring and he is scared of my cat and loves my pigs. My cat, I’ve raised since 4 weeks, does tricks for treats and treats my boy piggy like he’s her own. It’s all about the animals themselves, the owners, and how they were raised and trained. And before you get all defensive, I’m certified by my state in animal behavior, so I know what I’m talking about.

Sona Avakian if you look up “ c&c cages “ on the web a site should come up to buy them, honestly that’s the easiest and best way to go in my opinion. They’re super cheap too! A small 3x2 is only like $50 but you should go a little bigger than that, they also have so many different options and “ deluxe “ cages , that come with the loft and ramp etc, and you can even buy a wire top if you have a cat!! And you can select the colors you want for the coroplast as well : ))

Nice work! My setup is similar; a two tiered pen on a dining room table. However one key difference is mine is open at the top, and the rails are just high enough for safety. ( Another is you might call mine "rustic" while yours looks very pro. ) Its in the main living room so when we all pass by throughout the day we can easily reach in and interact. Underneath I keep the bins with all the clean and dirty laundry, and the vacuum I use to clean up. That is a beautiful set up, not insane at all to give your animals room to thrive. I wish everyone had your level of commitment.
