Demons exist, they are (fallen) Angels. They are spiritual beings - not monsters. This doesn't mean that we should develop irrational fear about demons or the devil. We must resist temptation though, as tempting men is ordinary action of the devil.

I cannot agree with you at all. Let me write about it a little. A demon is an intelligible being, he was an angel, no? So the devil is pure act of evil, he is the perfection of evil itself. he doesn't have evil as a potential but as an act. A demon can't be "privation of good" in itself, a perfect privation of good, a total privation of it means simple "non existance". Remember, God is equal to be that is equal to the good, so to the demon to be, it must be has its perfection - the existence - from God. But from God the demon must have its perfection, the evil itself, also. Now, we all know very well that the cause is always better, more noble and perfect than the effect. So, what is the unmoved mover of the evil, the perfection that the demon has? Ah, demon's arrogance, he envys God, the Good itself. But wait... is arrogance, envy better and more noble than evil itself? Of course, no! both belong to evil itself, they are its attributes. To deny it is to deny that the cause is always better and more noble than the effect. So, who gave the demon is perfection, the evil itself? Well... God. it is utterly non sence. God has the perfection of evil??? How come? Finally, an angel is an intelligible being. how can an intelligible being envy, be arrogant and evil? Can a number be in love? Can a geometrical figure be evil? If you ask me, can an intelligible being be good, i say yes, a geometrical figure shows, itself, the perfection of criation, the perfection of God's mind. But saying they have emotions is crazyness!!! But things can be worst, very worst than that. Intelligible beings belong to the eternity. A geometrical figure doesn't die. So saying a demon exists is saying it is eternal. it will persist for good. So, do the demons exist? No, it is impossible. Why? First, God can't be the efficient cause of evil, its unmoved mover. Second, intelligible beings don't feel emotions as we do. Now, if you say to me: "forget logic and reason, read the Bible, demons exist!", well, ok. Like Paul says: "what has Jerusalem to do with Athens".
