I will publish one video a week, where I will demonstrate acrylic pouring techniques for beginners.
It will be step by step tutorials, with all the information.
This time I will show you how to create beautiful flower with drawing just circles.
TECHNIQUE: Reverse flower dip with circles
PROCESS:
- Pour your base on canvas
- Make cirles with your colours
- Draw some petal patern
- Put down damped paper napkin or towel
- Lift the napkin
- Torch
- And here is your flower
MATERIAL:
- 8x8 inch canvas
- Acrylic paints mixed with pouring medium
- Paper napkin or towel
- Wooden skewer
- Palete knife
- Torch
COLOURS:
- Boesner black
- Arties colours alizarian violet
- Arties colours naples yellow deep hue
- Arties colours cerulean blue hue
- Pearl white
My pearl white mixture:
1 part Vallejo pearl medium
1 part titanium white
2 parts pouring medium
All my paints are mixed with Boesner Guardi acrylic binder and acrylic emulsion.

Magnificent! I've never gotten any flower to look good yet! I do want to share something I suggested to your friend Erica. When you do your base coat, it would make your cleanup and saving paint a lot easier if you hold your canvas over a disposable aluminum cake pan or something similar. Then you can just pour that paint into your cup. You won't have to wipe the table. I think it saves most of the paint that way.

Hi Fiona, The colors you used makes a beautiful flower. I love the white laci g or cells. Your close up made your flower come alive. The petal tips remind me of a Carnation flower. I want to try this technique. Thank you so much. You're a sweet teacher.

You are still the Master of the flower technique, Fiona. I’ve seen others. Some are nice, but none compare to yours. Look at that lacing, the cells, the colors are within the flower. Gorgeous!
