475 - Training Pokemon to Level 100 by doing Absolutely Nothing!! The Level 100 Gauntlet

Finally got around to editing this new gauntlet!! Consider this a "filler" gauntlet since not much gameplay was actually involved as I work on a couple bigger projects! This is kind of a sequel to the daycare gauntlet from 2016. Try and count the number of times I film my microwave clock and computer screen LOL

Some FAQ: 1. What was your electric bill like? -only a couple dollars higher, nothing drastic 2. Why did you leave your fan on? -sometimes I forget to turn it off. that was one of those days. 3. Why don't you have an uninterruptible power source/-insert household object that can hold buttons down here-? -This idea just kind of came to me, and I immediately acted on it, so I just used what I had on me at the time. I'm sure coins aren't the best things to use to hold down a circle pad, and I'm 100000% sure tape sucks for holding down a B button, but sometimes you just have to make use of what you have. 4. Why don't you use a capture card? -I used a capture card for much of the introductory stuff, but I didn't see it as necessary for my 3 3DS setup, especially with how little actual gameplay went on here

A reason in omega ruby and alpha sapphire took longer could be because in the loop you get bike into sand which slows down your movement speed

@@fleeinggenie0933 I don’t think so. Traded Pokémon only get an EXP boost from battles. The Daycare treats all Pokémon, traded or otherwise, the same (1 EXP per step taken, with none gained for level 100 Pokémon). The only variable factor is the experience group affecting how many steps it takes for certain species of Pokémon to get to the same level (which is why all of them use Igglybuff except for Black, but even then Audino is in the same experience group).

To anyone that wants to try this: don't put coins under your circle pads if you don't want them to break. Every did it when X and Y came out and then when Smash 3DS came out and everyone was using their sticks normally, they all broke because of the pressure we put under them.

@@butteredsalmonella Too easy. You'd get to at least 60 with a normal playthrough and no grinding. Gen 1 Exp All gives your first pokemon half the exp, then divide the remaining exp by the number of pokemon left, then give that pathetic amount to each of them. 1000 exp would mean 500(first one), 500/5(if you have 5 more pokemon besides the one you're using). Absurdly slow.

I used a penny on this loop while doing breeding and egg hatching in X/Y. that's how I got a shiny eevee (ty medusa method). just pop it under the circle pad of the direction you want to go (right or left) and let it sit, check it every 15-30 minutes or so if you are breeding/hatching

Personally, I don’t play Pokémon that much anymore. After they made the ORAS remakes, I kinda didn’t have the same love for the game after I saw what they did to my first games. However this is definitely the most original and interesting content regarding Pokémon that I’ve ever seen. I love watching these videos every time they come out and they make me exited to play the game again

3DS charger outputs a maximum of 4.14 Watts (used when charging and playing, but these units are already fully charged, so they'll use less than that), the Gamecube's power supply is 38.88 Watts (the actual demand of power may vary). Two gamecubes running for 24 hours don't even make a single Kilowatt Hour (933.12Wh), while three 3DS systems using the maximum amount of power the DC Charger can produce for 36 hours would use about 298.08Wh. All of this ignores the overhead of electricity lost to heat etc in the AC-DC conversion, and the fact that this ran over more than one 24 hour run. The lowest power I've ever seen on a modern (desktop) computer is a 225w power supply, which would chew your utility bill faster than a gamecube if you're worried about using more than a single Kilowatt Hour a day.

This has been the gauntlet that has made me the happiest so far. First of all, I was here before thumbnail got fixed, clicking on the video 38 seconds after it was posted. This video holds a special place in my heart... after telling my kid brother about the auto-leveling methods you used, he asked me to train a Pokemon to level 100 in Pokemon X (using the lumiose city method) and transfer it up to his Pokemon Moon through Pokemon Bank. I don't think he still has that level 100 Snorlax, but it's a precious memory to me regardless. He's 11 now.

I'm doing this too! I left play level 42 Greninja and Blastoise in the daycare in x and I use the dime to cycle around the center of lumiose City we'll see how it looks in the morning. Thank you for this video!

Great video, in regards to your mic quality, hide away in a closet and surround yourself with blankets, you are getting a lot of reverb and with that slight adjustment, this video would possibly be production quality. I don't mean to tread on any toes, just wanted to let you know. I received a BA in Media Production so hopefully that helps add validity to what I'm saying. Great video!

If you ever need to hold down a button again, what I use is a stack of like ten pennies glued or taped together! The amount I use depends on how springy the button is. Great video dude!
