Kyrgyzstan is a country unknown to many but loved by all that travel through! And for me I can say with absolute honesty and love that it is one of the best, most underrated, beautiful destinations I have and I think will ever visit in my life. Welcome to Kyrgyzstan!
In this video I am in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgzstan and, in my opinion, the best city in Central Asia. A small city in contrast to Europe but with a 360 degrees stunning backdrop of snowcapped mountains that make up around 65% of the country!
Join me as I explore the cultural and modern side to Kyrgyzstan, venturing to the famous Osh bazaar to purchase a traditional Kyrgyz hat (the one in the thumbnail!) and getting lost in the green, lush, clean streets of Bishkek and running into a few hidden gems!
But the video starts with a daytrip to the mesmerising Ala-Archa National Park about 90 minutes from Bishkek city. This is one of the highlights to Bishkek and an essential day trip to make. However, not necessarily that easy to get to unless you have a car.

Overall, Bishkek is well worth visiting whether you are in the region or looking to explore Kyrgyzstan and it is the perfect place to start your trip as it serves as the main, if not the only, international airport in the country.
