Hi Aislinn! This video is exactly what I was looking for! I’m traveling without a car and I also am going solo (in my 30’s, F and I’m glad another fan also brought up the safety topic. I’m thinking of taking a train from Cambridge. Any offerings or suggestions? Would love to hear from you. 😌

@@almondcroissant8 Hello! I really loved my trip there, I hope you have a great time. Honestly I would do the hike i did again - the langdale pikes, it was just so beautiful up there and the pub at the end was nice too for some food. The buses around lake windermere were quite frequent, not sure about the transportation on the other lakes but Windermere was definitely easy enough to get around.

@@ashventurer4152 be aware the National Trust prohibit the flying of model aircraft or drones from land they own or manage. And they manage 4000+ acres of the Lake District. You also need to be aware that both the RAF and US Air Force use the Lakes area for low flying training, and can suddenly appear with little warning.......

I'm going to the Lake district solo for 3 days in April (Ambleside/Keswick). This video is great for me. Which place'd you say I can't miss?

Awesome video!! I also was thinking about going alone to the lake district but felt a bit concerned about safety

Thank you! I get you, I definitely felt a bit nervous on the hike but it was quite busy which helped. I'm looking into some organised hikes for future though, would love to go up at sunrise but for sure not doing that alone haha

Keswick is the main town that’s actually inside the Lake District, Kendal, Penrith, Ulverston and Cockermouth are all just outside.
@ashventurer41523 жыл бұрын
Good to know! I haven't made it to Keswick yet but already looking forward to going back to the lake district

@@ashventurer4152 you'll love it, visit Buttermere and Lorton Vale, it's beautiful, off the beaten track, quiet and has some great pubs and restaurants. Borrowdale is also fabulous but better known with more tourism.

Is this a friendly place for a day out with the family? Planning to visit for the first time with two girls(5,9) and my wife. We'd be traveling from London by car. Great video. Beautiful shots with the drone!

Hello! The lake district is really nice and I think it would be great for a family trip. Maybe not the hike that I did but there are plenty of activities around Lake Windermere such as boat cruises, swimming, beatrix potter museum. It is a bit far for a single day trip, its about 4-5 hours drive from London

@ashventurer41523 күн бұрын
It may be a bit cold and grey in January but if you like scenery I think its worth it
