Nice video. I've needed to replace mine for some time now but put it off to do over the winter. Pretty poor quality in the KTM ones, I've never had to touch them ever in any of my Japanese bikes. Also, you mentioned that KTM doesn't specify the allowed free play but they actually do. Its mentioned in section 15.5 of the owners manual (at least in the Canadian version). They say it should be

Hey thanks for digging into the manual. I made a brief pass and couldn’t find anything. I’ll be sure to update the description. 5mm is nuts🤣!

@@advinjapan Totally agree, 5mm is a bit crazy. Thanks for posting the part number for the Kawasaki one, looks to be a perfect fit.

Hi, just had the rear wheel off my 2023 adventure. I noticed KTM have changed the material of the cushes. Instead of the black rubbery ones , the new ones are a clear plastic material. They feel much harder than the old ones. Maybe KTM have recognized the problem and corrected it.

Anyone know if the cush drive shown in the video will work on the 23’ models with spoked rims? Thanks for the videos. Keep up the good work!

Is there a specific year/model of the kr150? Or any year damper would do?
@advinjapan

Just use that part number, I’m not sure the year 👍

Nice tutorial. Thx for the tip on the replacement cush part. Your chain appears much looser than mine. So when you pushed up on it you were 5-7 mm from the middle channel? I better recheck mine asap.
@advinjapan

In the beginning yeah, super loose. Yes, from the middle channel, that’s right. If your chain is too tight you might hear some clicking sound when you ride.

👍. How many km’s please? Plus the Ktm ones would have cost twice as much…
@advinjapan
@advinjapan 7 ай бұрын
Yeah, as are all KTM parts. If you’re asking how kms this will run. I have no idea. But I’d guess longer than the KTM ones. Lucky if I get 2000km out of em before it starts to wiggle back there.

@@advinjapan. I was referring to how many km’s the old ones were in use before u changed them? My bad. Should have written that better. I guess u answered it tho. So your getting about 2000 km per set of Oem Cush drive rubbers? If so. So much for a budget bike…. U did say u change them out possibly early. Wonder what the actual replacement wear is. ? Cheers.
@advinjapan

@holden3083 I’ve seen 2000-5000km from other people. But it also depends on how hard you ride. I push my bike pretty hard so there is that.

@@advinjapan. Gees that low…. I would have expected at least triple that.. never owned a Cush drive bike. I wonder how the longevity compares to other bike models…. Looking at buying one of these.. just doing research at the moment….

It’s one of this bikes down sides. Other than that, one down on the front and two up on the back and she’s a screamer. Great bike imo. Clearance could be better.

Did someone just watch the new ari henning video on cush drives?

😂 I did watch his video yes, “drive load”. I always do my research before putting my stuff together. That includes watching other videos, borrowing what I like, throwing it together with my stuff and making it my own.
