LET IT RIP!! Love this video even though I ran red (and blue before that). Good to hear your excitement and good to hear a stock machine working without straight pipes and such. Nice to be able to hear a radio and turbocharger exactly as it came from the factory.

Thanks !! It's still running strong and getting used faithfully every year. Great old school tractors that you can still depend on

I bought a brand new JD 4850 in the summer of 1979. Still have it, gonna use it today. It has been a good tractor. Done some minor things, 12,255hrs to date. Never had to put a wrench on the engine although it has a fair amount of blow-by. I have never used anything but JD fluids, filters and grease. Believe it or not, antifreeze / coolant is the most critical fluid on the tractor. Mine doesn't sound like yours. It sounds to have a tap or tic . Doesn't sound like a 466 should soun

Betty Fogarty Awesome !! My father and I purchased it 2yrs ago from Weatherford, Oklahoma. The tractor only had 1877 hrs on it and I was satisfied. 212 hp and this tractor is worth every penny. My next purchase will be a 8520.

Think you must have either the date or the model wrong. The 4850 wasn't introduced until '83 or '84

Thank you sir! That tractor performed well and so did the disk. The soil was perfect for disking that day and the tractor was pulling awesome in 10th gear with no strain.
