The staff member at the gun range has no idea what he is talking about. When he was talking about the bullet with 600 grains of gun powder in it he was very wrong. The 600 grains refers to the weight of the bullet projectile itself and not the amount of powder in the case. A 500 Smith and Weston loaded with a 600 grain bullet can only hold about 30.3 grains of powder. It's really surprising a gun range would hire someone who lacks proper gun knowledge to watch over the range.

A grain is the smallest unit of weight in the Troy system. It is 1/7000 of a pound, so there is 437.5 gr in an ounce. Grains are used frequently in reloading, to measure weight of cases, propellant charges, and projectiles. Typically an ammunition manufacture will list the weight of the projectile in grains, but most will not list how much powder they use, as this will typically be deemed proprietary. In the case of the range attendant, the difference in weight he is referring to is the difference in weight of the projectile, not the propellant. The S&W is not shooting 600, or even 300 gr of powder! The .50 BMG usually "only" has a charge weight of 200 gr or so. A charge weight of 300 gr probably wouldn't even fit in the .500 S&W's case. This is a big oversight from someone supposed to be knowledgeable in this field. Where do they find these guys? You can't give these dumb asses a test before you hire them to make sure they aren't clueless, window-licking retards before giving them a supervisory role around firearms? This is the United-fucking-States! We have half of the world's privately owned firearms! It shouldn't be that hard to find someone who knows the basics enough to not embarrass your business by going full retard on the Internet.

Alot of people dont understand how fun guns are to shoot that's one thing good about our good ol' 🇺🇸 and I like it when we have people from different countries or people that are not into guns shoot guns in 🇺🇸 and get hooked. You can tell THE BEAST had alot of fun.

"This one is 300 grain and this one is 600 grain, that's the measurement of the gun powder". hahahahahaha, that's literally not how any of that works. I really hope that isn't the guy that runs that range. Hahahahaha.
