Could tell it got to speed real quicker too. The 48v's lingered in the mid to high 20's before it finally touched 30 mph.

Hi Kachi's kid, I'm about to pull the trigger on this battery upgrade, but before I do, I'm curious how it held up since you’ve done the upgrade. Has it given you any issues? Also, how oftern do you ride it?

I haven't ridden it much since getting the Zondoo. I will make an update video soon. After the boost bottle update, but before my 3 year review on my lawnmower.

@kachiskid thanks for the reply! I ordered the parts, and I'm excited to get my scooter working again! Another question, did you charge the new battery with the provided XLR Cable or the factory one on the side of the scooter? Will both work?

Of course, no problem. I charged the battery with the supplied charger. Not sure if the old one will work.

Hey man, I purchased the 60V 2000w version of this scooter. Since i got it, I have only been able to push 24mph. Customer service sent me a controller and ignition to replace, which I did. With a full battery, new controller and ignition, I was still only to be able to pull 24 mph. Mind you I'm 180, I drive on pavement, and my chain is lubed, etc etc. I can't figure out why I can't hit atleast 30mph. Any thoughts? Could it be the motor? Edit: The battery is Lithium Ion, not the Lead version.

What version do you have, The Chaos? Did the controller they sent you actually say 2000w?

@@kachiskidYep, I got the Mototec Chaos 2000W, 60V, 15Ah electric scooter. I actually took a photo of the controller and the speed limiter cables disconnected to show Mototec Support that despite all that, I only reach 24MPH. Mind you, I haven't even had this thing a month yet. I'm frustrated lol I wanna love this thing man. The Controller I have lists these specs: Voltage: Dc60v Undervoltage: 48+-0.5V Model: 2 Speed 20KM/H(Could this be it?) Brake: High Level Power: 2000W Current Limiting: 35A Then you have the manufacturing date and other numbers. What do you think? Could it be the model or could the motor have been shipped busted? Mototec said they will sent me a new motor but wtf, im replacing all the vital parts of the scooter. Not what I expected out the box.

Evereything looks okay. I think the sticker just lists the speed as that for the cops. My new Zondoo says the same thing. It goes at least 50mph. When you contacted the company, obviously they are aware something is wrong, right? Can you tell the difference in the 2 modes? What is the top speed of the lesser gear?

@@kachiskidYes absolutely. The Eco mode goes About 15mph. Yes they are aware, I have had an open ticket with them about this since February 24th lmao. The Tech I was talking to is stumped himself because first he wanted to say that my gps is inaccurate but I used the same speedometer you had (the meilani) and an app. Im the one who made the suggestion it could be the motor. I don't know what else it could be. New controller, new brakes, new ignition.....the battery and controller are legit and I know they aren't fluffing their numbers because you and others who reviewed this scooter confirmed the top speed. Its upsetting tbh because its like a little harley with a fat rear fender and the throttling sounds it makes. I have the Bikydom Q06pro (its like the Arwibon or Feiabor but with some differences) and that goes 50 - like it goes faster than the 47mph they claimed. I love it. I saw your Zondoo and considered it but ultimately went with the Bikydom. Its so much fun man! I wanted the same experience with the Chaos...😢

Hello Kachi, very good video. I have some questions though that nobody can seem to answer. I have a old model mototec evo 1600w with the same 48v battery pack. However the motor looks a little different (it has holes on either side). I can get to 29 mph with the stock battery and everything else. The scooter has 40 amp fuses in between the batteries and the controller. Am i safe to assume i should get a 60v battery with a 40amp max bms? or should i shoot for a 50 amp max bms? im afraid of blowing up the motor but i dont want to have the same top speed with only 40 amp max on the bms. were the fuses on your old battery 40 amp or 50 amp? thanks for reading all this.

Hey Jaxson, thank you for the compliment. When you purchase a battery, they suggest the type of battery you need by the wattage of the bike. 40 amps is normally for 1500w and less. I would go with 50amp, but just in case but I will send you a link to my battery and you can see their recommendations. amzn.to/3UrsC6I

@@kachiskid I actually ended up going with the 40 amp one, the lead acid batteries were limited to 40 amps so i should be fine. Anyway i got a 52v 40 amp battery. Wattage is just volts times amps and 52volts times 40 amps is 2080 watts... I think the battery makers are a little conservative with the wattage rating. You could try, making sure you have a fuse in place.

depends if the capacitors in the controller can handle it, you can get away with a 60v but most 48v controller caps are rated for 60v

There will be a little more heat, but you want to look up "over-volting" a scooter.
