I watched Mark's videos on porting 781 heads and I managed to get 305cfm out of mine with a 2.19 valve.first time porting anything! I put them on a 427 with 22cc dome pistons and a old 288ar solid roller comp cam and a airgap intake.it runs good for what it is ! Thanks for sharing your 700hp recipe with us ! Awesome camaro!

He moved to texas and his phone number doesn't work anymore, that I used to have when he was in colorado,, But it's funny, you say A288AR. I've got one of those cams. That's a really old cam from the late nineteen eighties, one of the first street rollers by comp.

Good numbers. I'm building a 496. Got a scat forged crank H rods and Ross racing pistons. Still at the machine shop getting bored decked etc. Looking at a sold roller with .666 lift. Not sure what the Edelbrock performer rpm heads are good for hoping to hit 700hp or real close.

FYI, Mark Jones' brother Mike is the world's preeminent camshaft guru and grinder. I suggest getting a cam recommendation from Jones Cams to see how far you're off from the ideal perfect cam.

Nice build! 👍 Mark Jones (aka Vortec Pro) is the man with these 781 or 049 heads. I have used that same Lunati camshaft in a 461bbc build with 781 heads and air gap intake...it sounds nasty! Would be much better in a 4.250 stroke deal like you have here with solid lifters

I look forward to them as I have 781 heads unported😢, speedway air gap,(would like same intake you've got waiting on more funds) bigger valves, 22cc domes pistons, 236/246 561/578 roller. Wished I could have done more would like to eventually try and port my heads but to chicken lol. The big block is in a g body with built th350 3200 stall and 373 gears Anywho where do you think a good idle is at for my set up. It looked like you were around 800 rpms? Neosho road sign? Mahle power pack , is the best at power production, But due to their loose fit and light ring pack they will use a little bit of oil,, Best pistons for the money is kb-207-060 but only use up to 650hp
