Cool car. Reminds me of my very first Honda. I was a Senior in high school and bought a used 1980 Honda Prelude with a manual transmission. I thought I was so cool driving that car. The paint on it had faded in some areas and my parents bought me a new paint job for my graduation present. It looked so much better with the fresh paint. It had 74k miles on it when I bought it and if I remember correctly, cost me $4100. I had saved up some money to put down on it and my Dad took out a loan on the car for me and I paid the $112 monthly payments. That was many years ago and I've driven nothing but Hondas and Acuras ever since. Currently have a '20 Accord Touring 2.0T, which is a great car. I've had 10 Hondas and 8 Acuras in my lifetime.

A friend of my sister's had one of these brand-new when they were in college. I was 12-13 and fascinated by the car, particularly the glass moonroof. I hope it finds a great home.

Nice ride. Good luck with the sale. My uncle had one in the 80s. Amazing those cars were rated for 40mpgs in the 80s.

Back in the 80's my parents traded in their mint condition 1981 Accord hatchback for an 1982 Prelude in Windsor blue with ivory interior. My Mom drove this and in 1985 my Dad bought himself a CRX. I have fond memories of both cars :)

One of my employees let me drive his '82 Lude back in 1982, and it was cool then. I ended up buying a new red '83 Prelude 5 speed 2nd gen in 1983...my first of many Hondas; and it was a fun daily driver that felt special at the time.

Looks like valve guide seals in the engine letting oil slip past? But hey, I'm no mechanic. Will be interesting to see what moves in/out of your collection over the next few months, I'm in a similar process myself. Keep us posted, Tyson!

Cool retro ride. One of our neighbors had one in silver-blue when I was a kid. Any chance the next owner shoehorns a K20C1 engine into the engine bay? 😁

Love this car. Love the copper color, don’t love the wheels however. Other than that, looks super cool! Hopefully you can find a great home for this car

The problem with the 1st generation prelude is parts, gaskets, seals, o-rings, are really hard to find.

@Tyson Hugie does this one have the little flip-up (ash tray) on the left side of the steering wheel top of the dash? Lol, I used to hide my stash there. 😆

"parts availability" HAHAHAHAHA I have a project honda prelude 1980 its fun the thing is factory red red car a dealer undercoat option mine was off the road for 26 years before I got it these preludes had the biggest engine honda offered at the time the 1.8l EK1 in the states being the 1.6 bored out from the factory and in 80 they didn't have cats from the factory so there a bunch of fun.
