I have a 2007 Spyder GT and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Stock, they're rated at 264 horse power or something like that. But mine does more than just keep up with my buddy's 350z which is somehow rated at 305... Nissan needs to quit exagerating or Mitsubishi needs to stop being so modest lol.

I looked to me like the Eclipse was all the way infront at the end when he was changing lanes, right before he let off. That last gear change definitely won him the race. If the race was twice as long, he would have been quite a few car lengths infront.

damn i wish i lived there, im in california, i would have really enjoyed a good race with ya though, win or lose, its all about having fun at the end and tbh thats all that really matters, you got a pretty nice eclipse though, that thing has to be fast to keep up with a modded maxima

@bishikid the headers is what gave it the biggest power gain i assume. i dont know the eclipses exhaust plumbing layout or the diameter of the piping but when you have all the I/H/E together it can make good numbers. i wish i could nab me some headers :(

assuming you tune to run all of those, you can install new everything but if the ecu is still on a stock tune those upgrades mean almost nothing so about 12hp gain seems right if its on the stock tune(which most people dont tune their cars unless they do something like turbo or supercharge it) thats like putting a stage 2 turbo in an evo but keeping the stock boost levels

the maxima is automatic and has an extra passenger? eclipse is a 6 spd?

It was a 2011 gsr with a full exhaust, cai, and boost was raised to 17psi. The race was from a 10mph roll and it was fun. He was a nose ahead but I was slowly gaining speed on him and around 90mph I passed him up. My Z is a nismo Z though but its still stock.

both nice cars my girls got that maxima, both those cars are fast tho it would be better to see who would win at a track where no traffic

I would find a 4th gen altima sedan or coupe to run as well. They are surprsingly faster than the maximas (any year), Z (depending on year), and G (depending on what tune the 3.7 in the new ones has).

where do you live, i own a nismo 370z(stock to this day) and i would enjoy a race, the only 4gen eclipse i smoked belonged to this one teenage girl who thought her car was hot shit and was talking trash about my z at one of the car meets the imports club hosts at my college, needless to say she never showed up to one of those car meets again

Personally I don't want to own a car with 4 seats unless its a sedan. And I could have gotten my nismo decked out with everything but I chose not to because I don't want any of that, sure its nice but I listen to music on my phone and the stock aux port works just fine. Speakers are alright, and I have leather on my dash.

@Osdresmo yo eso de los mods hasta que no los pruebe en un Dyno no espero mucho de eloos especialmente en carros normally aspirated tengo un pana que tenia un Maxima 4ta generacion y con un CAI ,headers(ebay y y exhaust APEXi world class solo hiso 8 whp mas resulto que los headers se pudireron a los 9 meses los quito y hiso 12whp los header le estaba quitando fuerza y eso lo he visto en mucho otros carros sobre todo CAi que no el filtro queda dentro del engine bay lo que hacen es cojiendo calor

what car have you got, 350 or 370? either way both are great cars, I had the 350 in 04 and I purchased it with 25k on it, I loved the car man. It's sold now, moved onto better

Leather on your dash? That's funny. I've heard the stock speakers and they are alright, but by those standards, so are the speakers in my mom's 2006 Cobalt... And wether you're alright with the stuff your car came with or not, you still got much less than you paid for.

I hope you smoked the eclipse. For the money you spent on a nismo, I hope you smoke a lot of cars with it. For the money I had to go with the eclipse. The only 370z I ever raced, lost because we went to 120 mph and he shifted to 6th too soon. So I'll stick with my convertible top, FOUR seats, great stock sound system, stock rocksford fosgate 6 disc changer in the dash, leather upholstry, heated seats, power seats, etc. vs a two seater, with like 20 more horsepower for the same price...

262 HP/ 265 LBS TQ 2322 eclipse gt 2010 -Maxima 255 HP 246 LBS TQ No parece mucho pero lo es son casi 20 lbs TQ differencia segundo el caro es automatico con cambios pa carro sedan familiar porbablemente menos aerodinamico el maxima es un ladrillo casi yo apuesto lo que sea que en el manual un buen chofer te saca por lo menos medio carro la tercera del maxima esta brutal creeme yo tuve uno y los mustang gt tenian que pedir la bendicion y roliao la ventaja siempre sera pa el standar

That number seems far off. Maybe 12 all together with the mods. 45? I just dont see it. The 3.5 is a amazing engine but you cant gain that much. Maybe a 4" intake, 3" exhaust, a kinkless 3 y-pipe and maybe some headers with a nice uprev tune and then you would be getting that 40 to even 50 hp bump. Also the cars mentioned do have the same engine but they have different guts. The Maxima nor the Altima has the VQHR yet. Just the VQ Rev Up.

what year? because unless its a 2007 or newer, they are slow as shit, my altima 3.5se with 260hp will run circles around the older 350zs but that will never happen with a newer one so stop being a fanboy, now if you want to see some real nissan power and you're in the so-cal area than please hit me up, i put drivers like you in your place, and if you think my car is slow think again, i beat a modded evo the other day with my STOCK 370z
