4JB1 TF Holden Rodeo | Boost and EGT gauge install | Boost controller and straight pipe exhaust

Today I install a SAAS boost and EGT gauge and SAAS boost tee to my 2000 TF turbo diesel Holden Rodeo. I also do a muffler delete on the exhaust and wind the boost and fuel up to get the Rodeo moving alot faster

Please do the compound turbo set up love the video super inspirational to the diesel community and the TF club I own a 2002 and totally enjoy seeing up do more videos I tell everyone I know these motors are 2.8l just like the rogue hilux 2023 which come out twin turbo . The Isuzu motor is a forklift motor forever ♾ strong lex show Aussie muscle here lex twin turbo !! 20years ago they had it right 😅

Jeez I got a 4jg2 cranked fuel pin ¼ turn in and compensator just about 180° and I max at 14 psi. Fair bit of black smoke when I get on it while revving low in the gear

Great video mate, awesome to see someone doing something different love these old rodeos. What do your EGTs hit cruising on the Highway? And up a long steep hill? and just short pokes through the dunes? I’m interested. And yes 100% do the intercooler video! Fuckin legend 👍🏼

EGT temps I'm unsure of on the top of my head. When I do the intercooler vid I'll do all those temps before and afters to see the difference it makes

Hey mate got a 4jb1 rodeo saw you swapping the lines on the wastegate is it worth doing I’m pretty keen to do but more engine work with mine but wanna play around with the stock set up for a bit reckons it’s noticeable or worth doing?

Hi, any chance you can show the specifics on how you connected the boost gauge? also other than the straight exhaust, did the turbo plumbing help with the low end power? @3mins 35 seconds of your video. newbie here. thanks

Boost guage just connects to the small boost pipes in the engine bay. Either the one that goes from turbo to wastegate or the one the goes from cross over pipe to fuel pump. Yes helped out heaps. Has way more bottom end power now

You won't be able to increase fuel on the 3l

Have you tried advancing the timing of the injection pump?

No I haven't because I've heard they don't like to much timing

They crack pistons I'm pretty sure. They need to be done with the timing tool and only a tiny bit

I used a boost tee to adjust boost pressure
