I came to Kamakura, Kanagawa prefecture, during the day on the way to Enoshima Christmas lights. It was pretty crowded because of holiday and good weather though there was rainy cloud just over Kamakura but fortunately it did not rain.
I walked from Kamakura station through market streets up to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine. On the way I tried strawberry daifuku and fried tuna. At the shrine I got in the middle of some ritual with music, so I filmed it too. Then I walked through residential area to Anyoin temple because one of viewers asked about it. But the temple was closed. It was time to go to Enoshima lights.

Kamakura was the capital of Kamakura Shogunate from 1180 to 1333. Very long history. From 37:10 this shrine Tsurugaoka Hachimangu has also more than 800 years history and one of the most famous shrines in Greater Tokyo area. It was around the century when the Ghost of Tsushima was happened. 48:10 This small stage called Maiden, Lower Worship Hall, where a traditional Japanese wedding ceremony is held. A woman priestess is performing a dance to the god and you can see a bride wearing the white attire and a groom wearing the black one on the left side 50:48.

@@nickparente yeah, that’s what I have too. She basically just gave it away to me. Works like a charm. As an added bonus I started to learn to read Japanese while riding and or watching his videos as well. I just pause when I see some sign or marquee and use my KANA chart to translate them. Then bust out the dictionary to find the meanings. Doesn’t work all the time but it’s fun. 🤷🏻‍♂️😝👍

I see scenes like this --> 36:40 , then compare it with what I see on the streets here in Buenos Aires and I cry... Everybody would be walking all over those streets running red lights and that... and littering. I can't even travel around here, so your videos help me go for a walk over new places, and specially Japan which I freakin' love. Thanks for sharing your walks with us!

My husband and I watch a lot of walking around Japan videos and you are the first who actually takes the time to look from side to side into the shops and places instead of just staring straight ahead. Looking in all the shops and restaurants and soaking up all the embiance of the area is exactly what we want to see when we watch these videos so thank you very much. I look forward to watching all of your videos.
