三菱造船下関造船所で建造中の海上保安庁の平洋型測量船の2番船、HL12 光洋が最初の試運転に出航しました。風が強くひどいメラメラの寒い朝でした。本船が三菱造船を離岸出港、そして関門航路に入る際にちょうど三菱造船に運ばれてきた台船に載った海上保安庁の大型巡視船のファンネルとすれちがいました。この巡視船の竣工も楽しみです。本船の左舷側のボートダビットには10メートル型測量船 HS-11 じんべいが搭載されていました。これまでじんべいが搭載されていたHL02拓洋から光洋に変更になるのでしょうか？

The blue S-shaped paint on the front side of the hull represents Security, Search & Rescue, Safety, Survey, Speed, Smart, Smile and Service. Thanks for watching and commenting.

こんにちは今日の午前中11時頃煙突がついていたのでびっくりしました。船体だけ見ればかなり形になっているように見えました。でも、ここからが長いのでしょうね。

So, we had HL11 Heiyou about one year ago, now HL12 Kouyou, any other ships of this class planned?

There are currently no plans to build a third ship of Heiyo-class survey vessel. Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Shimonoseki Shipyard is currently building a new patrol vessel. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Tell me about the gray building at 4:03 please. I've seen it the background many tines but this is the first close up I recall. I always thought it looked interesting.

Hi Terry san. That is a tower with a height of 153 meters called "Kaikyo Yume Tower". This facility in Yamaguchi Prefecture consists of offices, an international trade center, an event hall, an exhibition fair hall, and an observatory. @@binmei Thanks for the info Binmei san! As far as the election it's complicated. There were many many mail in votes allowed now. Every state has different laws regarding voting. There are reports of counting errors. Threats of legal actions etc etc. A real mess. It could take until Friday or longer to know the result. America is becoming very divided. It's changed so much so quickly.
